The ‘GReat Fish & Chips’ School Lunch
Award
sponsored by Middleton Foods
This new award category for 2015 will be supporting National School Meals Week which
takes place from 3rd – 7th November 2014. National School Meals Week is the week we
celebrate all that is great about school meals. It is an all year round initiative to get as many
pupils as possible having school meals.
The National Fish & Chip Awards organised by Seafish and sponsor Middleton Foods are
now challenging your school to put on your very own fish & chips event within National
School Meals Week.
There has never been a better time to celebrate everything good about the school catering
industry, many years of ongoing service improvements have made school lunches the best
they have been and something to be celebrated.
A balanced diet that includes plenty of fresh and nutritious food goes a long way to keeping
us at our best. Seafood offers a wealth of nutrients essential for our wellbeing, helping to
preserve a healthy heart and mind, as well as aiding with many important bodily functions.
Seafood is naturally good for children as it’s full of nutrients and vitamins.
