Conditions of Entry
• All riders and owners entering or competing or have
horses competing in this event are expected to have read
and accepted the following conditions of entry and consent
to them when entering online.
• Parents of anyone under the age of 18 must have read
and consented to the conditions online. Entries to be lodged at www.globalentriesonline.com.au
The following must be properly completed:–
• Entries with correct horses & riders – stabling OR day
stay details. – Read and agree to Conditions of entry, this
includes Disclaimer Statement. Tick to confirm online
when entering. Riders under 18 should have a parent or
guardian’s permission.
• Payment in full at close of entries.
Memberships and Registrations
• Horse, Owner and Rider must be financial with Equestrian
Australia.
• NSW Riders must be financial members of Jumping
NSW Inc. (Interstate Competitors excluded). If not
financial, please complete the membership form on
globalentriesonline.com.au or contact Jumping NSW
Secretary 0246512312 or fill out form attached.
• All horses nominated must hold current registration and
show jumping grading cards from EA.
• Grading shall be in accordance with the current National
Grading System.
Rules
• The Event will be run under FEI/EA rules.
• Australian, European & American helmets standards will
apply.
• All riders must wear proper riding boots and an
approved helmet at all times whilst mounted, including
presentations.
• Riders not entered before close of entries online must
register at the office before competing. Ie. Substitute
rider and or horse. Anyone not entered correctly WILL be
eliminated from competing at the show. There will be a
late fee.
• Horses must compete in their correct draw order. If a horse
is to be substituted it must be registered with the office
before competing.
• Coats must be worn in all presentations in the Olympic
Arena.
• Coats must be worn when competing until the organising
committee say otherwise. If summer uniform is to be worn
shirts must have sleeves. Ties or ratcatchers must be
worn. White ties must be worn if the rider is not wearing a
coat.
• The Organising Committee reserves the right at their
absolute discretion to alter or amend any of the conditions,
regulations, or any aspect of the event as they see fit.
• Equestrian Australia reserves the right to swab horses.
Random swabbing of horses may be conducted in any
class. Horses chosen for swabbing must proceed directly
to the swabbing box immediately after the presentation.
• All prize presentations will be mounted. Ribbons and rugs
will be placed on the horses prior to them entering the
arena for the presentation. Riders must wear coats in their
presentations.
• Riders with stallions or a difficult horse, that are placed in
a class, should substitute this horse with another horse for
the presentation.
• All entries for the Future Stars Classic must bring grading
cards or a photocopy of the current performance card to
be sighted by the office.
• Refunds: 50% refund of entries will only be given on
presentation of a doctor’s certificate or a veterinary
certificate. There will be no refunds for missing classes. An
administration charge of $20/entry will be kept from initial
entries.
• If the show or any day of the show has to be cancelled
entry fees will be refunded for the days cancelled.
• Written application for refunds must be received within 7
days after the event to espjane@bigpond.com
• There is a $9 venue levy per horse per day for horses not
stabled.
• All dogs must be on leads and secured at all times. No
dogs are allowed in the practice arenas or competition
arenas. Dogs must be on leads in the Stable Area.
• Wristbands will only be required if riders are not arriving
at SIEC in a horse vehicle. Wristbands will be available
for riders, grooms and owners at the show office from
Thursday. Entry is free Thursday and Friday but there is a
gate fee Saturday and Sunday.
STABLING
ARRIVAL TIME:The following times are for the arrival of horse
vehicles:
• Wednesday from 10.30am to 6pm
• Thursday from 7am to 7pm
• Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6am
• Anyone not able to arrive within these hours must contact
the Stable Manager
SIEC Stable Rules:
• Stables will be allocated and the stable area is under the
direction of the stable manager.
• Thongs are not to be worn in stable area.
• Dogs MUST be on leads in stable area.
• Bikes to be parked outside
• No unauthorised vehicles
• Horses are not to be tied to stable doors
STABLE MANAGERS HOURS are 6am until 7pm. Only under
Special circumstances will horses be permitted to arrive
outside these times and prior arrangements need to be
made for arrivals and departures outside these times.
Golf Buggies and unregistered motorised vehicles
Must be driven by a licensed driver and are not to be driven
after dark. Vehicles must not be driven under the influence
of alcohol. Only officials may drive golf buggies in the stable
area. Three and Four wheeler bikes are not permitted at SIEC.
Quad bikes and motorised scooters are not permitted at SIEC.
DEFINITIONS
World Cup Competitors:
The FEI has introduced a new entry system that will require
the following for all World Cup competitions.
• Horses and riders must be registered with the FEI before
the event.
• Horse and riders FEI ID number must be supplied to the
Organising committee with entries.
• Entries for the competition must close minimum of two
weeks prior to the event.
• If horses are a scratching from the event the organising
committee must be notified immediately.
• Horse substitutions must also be notified immediately
• All horses entered in the World Cup Qualifying Round
will be required to undergo a fitness inspection (trot-up).
Horses must be presented in a bridle.
• The fitness inspection (Trot Up) will take place 11am
Saturday 13th December at the northern end of the stable
complex.
• Horses must have current FEI Horse passports with them
at the trot up.
HORS CONCOURS (HC) Any rider declaring a horse to be
competing non competitively or HC, the horse will not be able
to be competitive in any other class for that day.
Young Rider From the beginning of the calendar year in
which they reach the age of 16 until the end of the calendar
year in which they reach the age of 21. Riders of the correct
age may compete in both Junior and Young Rider but on
different horses. Horses may only compete in either Junior or
Young Rider not both.
JuniorFrom the beginning of the calendar year in which
they reach the age of 12 until the end of the calendar year
in which they reach the age of 18. Riders of the correct age
may compete in both Junior and Young Rider but on different
horses. Horses may only compete in either Junior or Young
Rider not both.
Amateur Is a rider 21 years and over, has not competed in
a World Cup Qualifier for the last ten years, who has never
competed in Olympic Games or World Equestrian Games
in Showjumping or Eventing and has not competed in Part
1 or 2 at Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide Royal
Shows in the past two years and cannot have competed
in a 4 Star 3 Day Event. Horses cannot compete in a class
higher in height at this show. Amateur rider cannot compete
in any class higher than the Amateur classes at this show.
(1.20m) Amateurs may compete in the 1.20m height classes
at this show. The Final round of the Jumping NSW Amateur
of the Year Series will be held within Sunday’s Amateur
Championship Class. The Presentation of this class will be
held in the Olympic Arena. Also the presentation for the
winner of the JNSW Amateur of the Year Series will be held in
the Olympic Arena on Sunday at this presentation.
Restricted 90cm-1.00m = for horses and /or riders in their
first year in competition at a show jumping show (2014) (does
not include jump club training days)
Future Stars Classic
• Horses must be 50 points or less as at the closing date for
entries, 3rd December, 2014.
• The top 25 horses from the first round of the Future Stars
on Friday will qualify for the Final on Saturday.
• All horses in final start on 0 penalties.
Mini Prix Series:
• Two qualifying events will be run, one on Friday and one
on Saturday with 20 horses taken into the final from the
pointscore.
• Extra classes are being held in Ring 2 for horses not
making the finals on Sunday.
• If not previously entered, nominations for these classes will
close at the show office 3pm Saturday.
• Horses competing in the World Cup can not compete in the
Mini Prix Final.
Olympic Arena
• The organising Committee reserves the right to refuse an
entry if it is deemed unsuitable or unsportsmanlike for that
class.
• Formal dress code shall apply unless otherwise advised.
(White or fawn breeches only.) Shirts must have sleeves.
• Coats must be worn in all presentations in the Olympic
Arena.
• Coats must be worn until the organising committee say
otherwise. If summer uniform is to be worn shirts must
have sleeves. Ties and ratcatchers must be worn. White
ties must be worn if the rider is not wearing a coat.
• Horses in the Mini-Prix Final class on Sunday cannot

Finals
• The Super Junior Final, Young Rider Final and Mini Prix
Final will have 20 qualifiers decided on a pointscore from
the 2 classes listed in the schedule as Qualifying Classes.
• Points will be awarded in each qualifying class . If there is
equality of placing then the points will be shared.
• Should there be an equality of points at the completion of
the qualifying classes then the rider placed highest in the
second qualifying class for their division shall be ranked
the highest.
• Entries for the Super Junior Final, Young Rider Final &
Mini Prix Final must be confirmed and paid at the show
office on the Saturday afternoon by 2 pm, 13th December,
without a late entry surcharge.
• Horses not qualifying for the second round of the Future
Stars will be permitted to enter a class at the show in Ring
2 or 3 on Saturday without any charge.
• Will run in order of the draw order based on the horse. Arena One will take priority.
Arena Two

Hacking Arena

The Oaks Medallion Young Horse Gala Day
These classes will be judged events for the development & encouragement of the breeding and
preparation of Australia’s Young Jumping Horses. The horses will be judged by three judges. It
will be judged on the horse’s confirmation, flat work and jumping.
The Oaks Medallion is a stand-alone competition – there are no qualifying rounds as in the past.
Flatwork section will now be held in the jumping arena. Riders will be required to show walk, trot and canter. 4 & 5 year olds to show change of
lead in canter through the trot. 6 year olds walk through or flying change, 7 year olds flying change. This will also be displayed with the course plan
on the day.
Jumping Section: 4 year olds will jump one round. 5, 6 & 7 year olds will jump as an AM7 and will be judged on both rounds. 5 year olds: First
round 325m/minute, second round 350m/minute. Time Penalties apply.
6 and 7 year olds: first round 350m/minute, second round 400m/minute. Time Penalties apply.
Gear rules: Only short, non-tightening back boots can be worn, no long or weighted back boots. No standing martingales. Bits are unrestricted,
however judges may show a preference for simple bitting at their discretion.
All horses can enter on line without qualification. ALL BREEDING and DESCRIPTION information MUST be completed.
It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure the horse is in the correct age class.

WELFARE OF THE HORSE – CODE OF CONDUCT
1 In all equestrian sports the horse must be considered paramount.
2. The well being of the horse shall be taken above the demands of the breeders,
trainers, riders, owners, dealers, organisers, sponsors or officials.
3. All handling and veterinary treatment must ensure the health and welfare of the
horse.
4. The highest standards of nutrition, health, sanitation and safety shall be
encouraged and maintained at all times.
5. Adequate provision must be made for ventilation, feeding, watering and
maintaining a healthy environment during transportation.
6. Emphasis should be placed on increasing education in training and equestrian
practices and on promoting scientific studies in equine health.
7. In the interests of the horse, the fitness and competence of the rider shall be
regarded as essential.
8. All riding and training methods must take account of the horse as a living entity
and must not include any technique considered by the FEI to be abusive.
9. National Federations should establish adequate controls in order that all persons
and bodies under their jurisdiction respect the welfare of the horse.
10The national and international Rules and Regulations in equestrian sport
regarding the health and welfare of the horse must be adhered to not only during
the national and international events, but also in the training. Competition Rules
and Regulations shall be continually reviewed to ensure such welfare.
