From Our Pastor
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Matching last week’s call to know the oil of
your life, go deeper now. Your fuel is the gi,s
God gave you to spark the world into brilliant
colors-however this is seen. Do you have a
passion for something that you do not use? Be
bold! Step out and use your gi,s to help bring
forth the Kingdom of God. Be trained as a Lector or
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Reach out as a
religious educaon catechist or youth ministry volunteer. Join a
choir or new commi:ee that brings you alive so you can bring
others to match your joy. Be steward of the talents given so
God may smile with pride at your love and creavity this week.
Blessings upon all of you - Fr. Isidore

more are gathered in my name, there I am with
them.” - Ma:hew 18:20
A blessed thank you to everyone who gave a gi, this past
weekend to the Catholic Services Appeal. Our parish goal is
100% parcipaon. Each and every person’s gi, is important.
For those who have not made a pledge, please join us in supporng the vital programs and services throughout the Diocese of Ausn from which you and this parish benefit.
DID YOU KNOW that using a CSA envelope (and giving your
name and address) versus an anonymous cash donaon will:
• Get your name OFF the follow-up mailing and call list from
the Ausn Diocese asking for your parcipaon.
• Help our parish by idenfying how many families parcipate in CSA.
• Allows you to receive a le:er from the diocese in early 2015
with your 2014 contribuons to use for your tax return.
There are many ways to parcipate:
• Fill out the CSA card that was mailed to your home and mail
it to the Ausn Diocese.
• Fill out the CSA card mailed to your home and return it to
the church or parish offices.
• Fill out a CSA card that is available in the church or parish
offices.
• Contribute online at: h:p://www.ausndiocese.org/csa.
When you fill out a CSA card you can:
• Make a one-me financial donaon and pay with a cash,
check or credit card.
• Make a financial pledge to pay later.
• Write a prayer pledge on the card for the success of the
2014 CSA campaign. If you can’t give financially at this me,
then your prayers are encouraged!
We would also like to give special thanks to the following
couples who spoke at Mass about their CSA commitment:
Patrick & Linda Bohrer, Thomas & Amy Fu2rell, Dan & Mary
Kubala, and Chris & Michelle Williston.
Thank You!
K of C Holiday Nut Sale
The STM Staff would like to extend a grateful thank
you to the Heyl Family for two recent gi,s that they
have given to our parish. One was the beauful
orchids that were behind the Altar on the weekend of
November 1st and 2nd. They helped make All Souls
Day a beauful celebraon. The second was the
gravel that was laid to cover the dirt road leading to
the Chelsea House. This will make the road a
smoother ride and much, much less dusty.
It’s me again for our Knights of Columbus to go
Knuts with their annual sales of various nuts for your
holiday cooking, baking and snack needs. The Knights
will be selling pecans, pralines, almonds, walnuts,
cashews, pistachios, chocolate-covered cherries, and
other specialty items outside Masses every weekend
up unl Christmas except for Thanksgiving weekend
and the 1st weekend in December. All proceeds will
go to support our seminarians and other charitable
causes.

Reflection
Believing and Belonging: Why we need the
Church
“They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles
and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and
to prayers… All who believed were together… Every day
they devoted themselves to meeng together” - Acts 2:4246
The sign of the early Chrisans was love for one another.
They recognized that they needed support to walk the
Chrisan life and were commi:ed to being that support
for each other.
How are you supported by your community of faith?
How are you support for others in our community?

Catholic Social

33rd Sunday of Ord. Time
We all want to be considered God’s good and faithful
servants and God gives us all we need to be his disciples: Sacraments and their grace, God’s word and a
community of faith. What we need to do is to risk
pouring out our lives as Jesus did and not clinging to
our life and gi,s out of fear. We can do this by giving
our lives away and learning that so much more is given when we spend ourselves in God’s service to others. If you don’t believe this, ask someone who has
served in a ministry to others like the Society of St.
Vincent de Paul, Communion ministry to the sick, prison ministry, pro-life ministry or any other in your parish. They will report the rich rewards they receive.
