Inspections
No appointment necessary! Inspections will
include tire tread wear, tire pressure check,
battery terminals, wiper blades, hoses/lines
and fluid levels. Appointments are required
for any follow-on work.
Snow tires are required on vehicles or
snow chains in the vehicle November
15 to April 15. Don’t be caught without
either! The chains must be the correct
size for the tires and applied to the drive
wheels. You must know how to apply
the snow chains - you could be asked
to demonstrate applying them. Tires
should read “M+S” on the sidewalls;
“all weather/all season” do not qualify as
“M+S” tires. Also know once you leave
the Italian border some countries require
mud and snow tires and do not accept
snow chains as a substitute.

“SSgt McGhee and SSgt Bacolod lead the
way for PRP in the UEI and NSSAV as the base
monitors. They guided 25 unit monitors in
review of 1,200 records. Their product used
to audit their PRP monthly roster was a UEI
best practice, and their personally built SAV
process was a USAFE benchmark. Overall
the NSSAV had no critical findings, and they
have postured the wing for a successful NSI in
February. These two are key to the Aviano and
AF Mission, and continue to go above and
beyond in their daily operations!”

Congratulations
Mr. Jim Emmons
- Jim has worked tirelessly to reorganize the
Sports Program. He directed the Football
and Soccer season in 2014. He worked
diligently with our volunteers ensuring they
completed qualification paperwork.
- Jim was vital in writing the Statement of
Work for the Youth Sports contract and
ensured the Soccer Season had the officials
it needed for the safety of our participants.
- He liaised with the Sports Director in
Vicenza, Italy and benchmarked programs
that now exceed Aviano standards.
- Jim worked to organize a relationship with
local DLA to find equipment at no cost for
AYP sports. He has saved 31 FSS $1,500
by personally repairing equipment to meet
safety standards and acquiring file cabinets
and bins to ensure volunteer information is
in compliance with PII.
- Jim is such a vital part of the AYP family
and especially as a member of the Sports
team. He is amazing with youth,
volunteers and staff as well.
His support, dedication and
dependability have been
a valued part of helping
make the AYP a successful
program.
Big Thanks to...
All parents and volunteer coaches who
supported the soccer program this season!
