BACKPACK FLYER PROGRAM
Guidelines:The Backpack Flyer is a program of the PVP Coordinating Council (PVPCC) in cooperation with the Palos Verdes
Peninsula Unified School District (PVPUSD). The Editor of the Backpack Flyer is Deanne Preyer backpackflyer@yahoo.com
The Backpack Flyer is printed by the PVPUSD printshop and delivered and distributed at the schools’ and teachers’
convenience to all kindergarten through fifth grade PVPUSD students during the school year. Only organizations that are
members of the Coordinating Council may promote their events and activities for children, for a fee, through this publication.
PVPCC membership dues are $25 once a year from August 1 to July 31. A membership form can be found on our website
palosverdes.com/cc/forms.htm
Ad/Copy/Size: Ads must be 8.5”x11” and will be printed in black and white onto colored paper. Reverse backgrounds will
not be accepted. Please e-mail your ad (either in PDF format or a Word document) to: backpackflyer@yahoo.com Please
indicate the name of your organization and the month and year of publication for the ad in the SUBJECT lineof the e-mail. E-mail

Mail checks (payable to PVP Coordinating Council) to: Palos Verdes Peninsula Coordinating Council, P.O. Box 2304,
Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA 90274. Write the month and year of the Backpack Flyer publication you are paying for in the MEMO
line. Flyer Price: The 2013-2014 cost for an ad is $180 per side/page per month. Multiple sides pages are allowed and are
charged accordingly. Front page placement is an additional $30 and must be requested on a first-come, first-served rotating basis.
The annual PVPCC membership dues must be current. Payment is due and payable with confirmed order. Ads
without payments will not be submitted for distribution.
Deadlines: The deadline for the Backpack Flyer is the 6th of the month preceding the month of the issue. Some issues
are two months combined.
PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE DATE when the schools will distribute the Backpack Flyers, but they are
typically distributed after the 10th of the month. The PVPCC and PVPUSD are not affiliated with and do not endorse the events
and/or activities in this packet and reserve the right to refuse submissions that do not fit within PVPCC guidelines.
