ORIN SWIFT - California
2012 “Machete”
In the glass, deep, dark bluish-red hues can be seen
with a band of ruby on the rim. Uplifted aromatics of
ripe blackberries, mulled raspberries, acacia flowers,
toasty oak, and herbal notes hit the nose in a
pronounced way. Offering up robust flavors during the
approach, the mid palate is exposed to an
unadulterated array of crushed berries, dark chocolate,
black fruits, and a tinge of creamy espresso. Finishing
with principle, the glossy tannins are in alignment for
immediate enjoyment or some time in the cellar too.
2013 “Abstract”
Opaque and purple to the rim of the glass, an
elevated display of aromatics is immediately present.
Fragrant dark fruits, spring flowers, violet, and a hint
of garrigue greet the nose and tempt added review.
Extraordinary freshness is present upon entry leading
to lush flavors of sweet boysenberries, kirsch, licorice,
dark cherries, and exotic floral notes. The palate is
thoroughly treated and left with a finish of bright
acidity and round tannins, which exist in seamless
balance. Grenache, Petite Sirah and Syrah

2012 “Palermo” Cabernet Sauvignon
A voluminous complexion of deep garnet and cardinal
can be seen in the glass profile. Profoundly aromatic,
the nose is treated to a decadent perfume of
currant, roasted espresso, spring flowers, and toasty
oak. Supple and rich in the mouth, intense flavors of
wild berry fruit, plum, roasted fig, and cacao are in
perfect alignment. The length is fleshy and bright with a
polished tannin sequence will last for years.

2012 “Papillon”
2012 “Mannequin” Chardonnay
Gilded in bright yellow, an alluring perfume of candied
lemon, Bosc pear, wild flower, and honeydew melon
incentivize the palate. Upon entry a deliciously rich
and creamy texture balances out a vivid tropical fruit
notes, exotic spices, and fresh pineapple that slowly
emerge in a captivating way. The finish has a lively tone
of acidity, which serves as an ideal equalizer to the
crème brulee, marshmallow, and hazelnut flavors that
envelope the mouth.
2013 “Veladora” Sauvignon Blanc
93 pts (2011) - Wine Spectator
“Offers a rich, inviting core of dark berry, mocha,
crushed rock, fresh brownie and sandalwood notes,
with fresh-cut flower scents. Gains depth and richness
before ending with ripe tannins and layers of flavor.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec.
Drink now through 2025. 4,500 cases made..” –JL
Veladora is not only a wine, but an annual recognition
of the Latino farm working community in the Napa
Valley. Established seven years ago, it is a charitable
effort named to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe. Citrine
in appearance, a profoundly aromatic medley of tropical
fruits, lemon zest frills, mandarin, and orange blossom
initiate the tasting. Bright and clean while buttressed
with round fruit, a wide array of flavors can be
detected, notably, citrus compote, lychee, passion fruit,
and white peach. A racy tang of acidity is evident on the
finish with just a bit of minerality for added texture.

VENGE - California
2011 Family Reserve
Cabernet Sauvignon
92-95 pts- Wine Advocate
“...the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Reserve
exhibits a dense ruby/plum/purple color in
addition to sweet cassis, vanillin and spice notes.
This will be a forward, precocious, sexy Family
Reserve given the vintage conditions. The
structure, massive foundation and power of
the great years is not there, but that has been
replaced by pure charm, lots of ripe fruit and a
sensuous style. Most consumers probably prefer
this style to a big blockbuster...”
“Scout’s Honor” Proprietary Red
This vintage is a gorgeous assemblage of crushed
blue herbs, violets, black cherry, licorice and
anise scents that fill the room. The palate is pure
richness from the Zinfandel with loads of black
cherry, pepper spice, and enveloping masculinity
of char and tannins from the Syrah, Charbono
and Petite Sirah, with no harshness through the
transition of the flavors. Seamless balance and
mouth coating deliciousness are found
throughout the palate, with an extra long finish
and a slight “kick” of barrel tannin at the end.
Delicious!

2012 “Silencieux” Cabernet Sauvignon
2011 “Late Harvest” Zinfandel
93 pts (2011)- Wine Enthusiast
“This 100% Cabernet was blended by Kirk Venge
from vineyards in Oakville, Calistoga, Mount Veeder, Spring Mountain and Coombsville. It makes
you wonder why we obsess with single-vineyard
bottlings. Unfined and unfiltered, it’s rich and pure
in blackberries, currants, mocha, anise and new
French oak, with superb tannins. Will age effortlessly through at least 2021.” — S.H. (4/1/2014)
This 2011 red is delightfully showy with aromas of
raspberry jam, sweet alcohols, cotton candy and
maricino cherry. Give it a moment to open up
and you swear it drinks like a cherry fruit roll up!
The palate is utterly decadent with black pepper,
chewy red preserves, grape jelly and a touch of
sour cherry. Although the acid and tannin balance
appear in this wine, they are not aggressive and
will prove very useful in keeping the pulse of this
Zin going deep into aging.
2012 “Juliana Vineyard” Sauvignon Blanc
“Maldonado Vineyard” Chardonnay
90 pts- Wine Enthusiast
It begins with a bouquet of honey, marmalade,
fresh citrus zest, toasted pine nuts, rocky flints,
Christmas spice and vanilla candles. There is a
lusciousness on the nose that is ever so inviting.
True to our form with this varietal, there is zero
presence of malolactic fermentation to prevent
muting the texture and detail on the palate. Crisp
lemon drop, pineapple, tart green apple and sour
cherries fill the mouth. The fresh and savory effect
draws you in for another taste.
“Here’s a bright, tart, wonderfully drinkable young
Sauvignon Blanc with some real complexity. It’s
savory in citrus, gooseberry, green apple and
vanilla flavors, with just a touch of creamy oak.”

SADDLEBACK- California
2009 Cabernet Sauvignon
2012 Old Vine Zinfandel
91 pts - Stephen Tanzer
“Good bright red-ruby. Sexy, aromatic nose combines
blackcurrant, violet, graphite, bitter chocolate and
spearmint oil. Tightly wound and youthfully medicinal,
with a flavor of kirsch dominating the middle today.
Finishes savory, dry and very long, with big, palatesaturating tannins. A small percentage of these barrels
are from Virginia oak.”
This delicious wine opens with concentrated aromas
of sweet blackberry and oak that gives way to a palate
of dark fruit compote, sweet cedar and elderberry jam.
This wine is structured and complex with a full bodied
finish and round tannins. A perfect accompaniment with
BBQ ribs, grilled lamb, spicy marinated beef, and blue
cheese.
2012 Merlot
2011 “Rancher Red”
Robust and intense aromas of roasted espresso, cedar,
and ripe Japanese plum define this extremely balanced
wine. Layers of dark cherry, violet, and raspberry
flavors are followed by soft tannins, a long finish, and
mouth-watering acidity. With proper storage, this wine
will age admirably for fifteen years; however, we feel
it is drinkable now. Lively acidity makes it a great food
wine, and an especially good accompaniment with
lamb chops, roasted pork, and filet mignon.
This wine is dark red in color with rich, toasted oak
aromas from extended time in the barrel. Caramelized
plum and black currant aromas are followed by black
pepper and anise flavors. There is a rich mouth-feel and
polished tannins in the long-lasting finish. “Helluva good
wine!” –Nils Venge
2012 Chardonnay
The nose emits aromas of pear, lemon rind, and
brioche. The taste echoes the lovely nose and has a viscous mouth-feel due to the battonage (stirred sur-lees)
process. The long finish has after tastes of peach, pear,
lemon and a hint of toast. A perfect accompaniment
with dried fruit, cheese, crab, or lobster.

COUGAR’S LEAP- California
2012 “Cougar’s Cuvee”
Zinfandel/Tempranillo
This has already shown to be a highly sought after
wine. An extremely special blend of 49% Zinfandel,
49% Tempranillo and 2% Petit Sirah. A dark, purple-red
color, the appealing aromas of ripe fruit, spice-dipped
figs, and cigar box greet you. Firm and sturdy tannins
are wrapped in red cherry, tobacco, and toasted oak
flavors The wine provides a wonderful accompaniment
to lamb shank, wild boar, grilled steak with a hickory
rub, and herb-roasted chicken.
6
2009 “Black Rock” Petit Sirah
This rich and intense dark purple Petite Sirah has the
nose of ripe blackberries and currents. Its berry flavors
and oak make a great combination and rich mouth
feel. The finish is long on the palate with good balance
and structure and shows a classic Lake County cocoa
and coffee that will stand up to ageing. Pairs well with
grilled meats, spicy pastas, and rich dark chocolates.
DONELAN - California
2012 “Venus” Roussanne/Viognier
2012 “Nancie” Chardonnay
93 pts - Wine Advocate
“The lovely 2012 Roussanne Venus, always one of the
last to be harvested, this blend of 97% Roussanne and
3% Viognier spent ten months in neutral oak. Most of
the Roussane comes from the Dry Stack Vineyard in
Dry Creek . The 2012 offers sumptuous aromas of
lychee, honeysuckle, rose petals, caramelized citrus and
exotic tropical fruits (mango and tangerine). Medium to
full-bodied with stunning purity, this dry white delivers
both power and elegance, but I would opt for drinking
it in its first 2-3 years of life.”–RP
90 pts - Wine Advocate
“...Made from 30+-year old vines in cold sites, it was
aged 10 months in French oak of which 23% was new,
fermented with indigenous yeasts, and achieved
relatively low alcohol for a California Chardonnay
(13.3%). Aromas of lemon butter, white currants, quince
and wet gravel emerge from this medium-bodied,
refreshing Chardonnay. A California version of a
premier cru Chablis should be enjoyed over the next
5-6 years.”–RP
2012 “Two Brothers” Pinot Noir
2012 “Cuvee Moriah” GSM
90 - 92 pts - Wine Advocate
“The 2012 Pinot Noir Two Brothers was made from
six separate clonal selections, including Dijon clones
115, 667 and 777, and the Pommard, Calera and Swan
clones. Some stems were utilized and notes of underbrush/forest floor are undoubtedly attributable to the
whole clusters. Abundant aromas of cherry fruit, clove
and spice are followed by a medium-bodied Pinot that
should drink well for 5-7 years.”–RP
2011 “Cuvee Christine” Syrah
89 pts - Wine Advocate
“The 2011 Syrah Cuvee Christine is a crossvineyard
blend from various sites. About 40% whole clusters
were used along with indigenous yeasts, and the wine
spent 22 months in 35% new French oak. Black cherry,
black olive and forest floor scents jump from the glass
of this dark ruby/purple-colored Syrah. Medium-bodied
with excellent ripeness, supple tannins and a spicy,
peppery, meaty finish, it should drink well for 4-5
years.”–RP
OLIVIA BRION - California,Wild Horse Valley
2012 Pinot Noir
Black cherry and black currant flavors adorn this
elegant yet generous young red wine, with
sandalwood, cedar, blood orange, sassafras, and truffle
notes adding depth. The structure is still compact, but
it opens rapidly in the glass to a plush mid-palate. It
has a lovely sweet core of fruit and usual very long
silky finish. It is going to be great fun to watch this
classic 2012 vintage pinot come into its own over the
next several years.
The 2012 vintage highlights why Grenache is such an
exciting varietal to work with. Although it is rare to find
both in one glass, this 2012 Grenache has both power
and pure, laser-like freshness, a hallmark of our favorites
from Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The Grenache shares the
stage with its more exotic cousin, Mourvedre, which
furthers the complexity of the blend with ripe pomegranate and grilled game. A select few barrels of Syrah –
less than in previous vintages – add depth and richness
into the finish, making for an ideal food wine that is also
a scene-stealer in its own right.
PALLADIAN - California, Napa Valley
2008 Cabernet Sauvignon
Protected by trees along the perimeter, it’s a cool
Cab site by Napa Valley standards. The resulting wine
captures a Bordeaux-esque acidity and complexity.
Get wild red cherries, cigar box cedar, red currants,
ruby grapefruit, mineral, graphite and dried wild herbs.
Complements many foods, especially savory dishes.
The blend is 8% Cab Franc and 92% Cab Sauvignon.
This wine was two years in French oak barrels, bottled,
and aged in perfect storage conditions three additional
years on the estate before being released.
2012 Chardonnay
This lovely Chardonnay bridges the paradox between
purity and complexity. At the same time it has the
pure fruit notes of lemon and white peaches as well
as the layered flavors of creme brûlée, baked apples,
and quince jelly. The structure is elegant and stylish, the
mouth feel is fresh and lively, yet deeply flavored
without being weighty. The finish goes on for two
minutes. As in every vintage, the minerality from our
very rocky hillside is present and accounted for.

“Sojourn’s dark ruby-hued 2012 Pinot Noir
Rodger’s Creek Valley... it exhibits notes

a hint of wild strawberries. It cuts a broad swath
across the palate, but it does not reveal a lot of
weight, tannin or forcefulness. This beautifully rich,
pure Pinot Noir offers abundant notes of cloves,
apple skins and cherries. Displaying a striking
similarity to a top premier cru from Burgundy, it
can be drunk now and over the next decade.”

2011 “Spring Mountain”
Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2011 vintage of our Spring Mountain District
Cabernet Sauvignon was produced using grapes
sourced from an exclusive vineyard located on
the upper ridges of the rugged mountain slopes
west of St. Helena. The cool wet Spring 2011
weather delayed bloom and disrupted fruit set,
resulting in shatter and a smaller crop size that set
the stage for a long, cooler-than-average growing
period. This Spring Mountain District wine shows
off beauty and balance reflective of the long cool
harvest season.

RED CAR - California
2010 Sonoma Coast Syrah
2012 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
One of the original Rhone Rangers, Red Car has been
producing Syrah longer than any other varietal. Today,
it is at the forefront of the style evolution in California
Syrah. Restraint, naturally high acidity, true Northern
Rhone Syrah perfume, and silky tannins are important
components in Red Car’s 2010 Sonoma Coast Syrah
along with nativeyeast fermentation, moderate stem
inclusion and being aged in 500L puncheons for 12
months. Blackberry, Sandlewood, White Pepper
90 pts - Stephen Tanzer
“Bright ruby-red. Exotic aromas of candied red
berries, Asian spices and blood orange, with a subtle
herbal nuance in the background. A juicy, appealingly
sweet midweight that offers intense raspberry and
spicecake flavors along with a deeper bitter cherry
nuance that builds with air. More structured than the
Estate bottling, finishing with strong cut and youthfully
gripping tannins.”
2012 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
2012 “Ritchie Vineyard” Chardonnay
The Chardonnay grapes for Red Car’s 2012 Sonoma
Coast Chardonnay were hand harvested at low sugars
and immediately whole cluster pressed. The juice was
settled overnight then barreled down into French oak
to undergo primary and secondary fermentation. The
minimalist style yields a wine of great purity,
concentration and palate smoothness with a racy
acidity and chalky minerality rarely associated with
California Chardonnay leaves your mouth with lingering flavors of lemon crème and wet stones.
2012 “Hagen Vineyard” Pinot Noir
The 2012 Hagan Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from a
vineyard perched high above the edge of the continent
fully facing the cold Pacific Ocean on the esteemed
Taylor Lane west of Occidental. Dramatic, aweinspiring
and windswept, it produces wines of extraordinary
complexity and perfume. We are proud to have utilized
organic farming practices from the vineyard’s inception
which has allowed this wine to truly speak to its terroir.
This wine carries a light to medium body with well
developed flavors of pomegranate, darjeeling black tea
and allspice and a truly fresh and fragrant nose.
Few new world Chardonnay sites rival the famed
Ritchie Vineyard. Aubert, Dumol, Ramey and others
have showcased the quality of this vineyard for decades,
craing some of the most sought-after Chardonnay this
side of the Cote d’Or. Ritchie was the opportunity
to to create a California Chardonnay with balance,
perfume, texture, minerality, and nuance. The 2012
vintage exceeds our expectations and is experiencing
a delightfully slowfermentation. Citrus Pith, Apricots,
Bright Minerality
2012 “Zephyr Farms Vineyard” Pinot Noir
This wine comes from a small vineyard with deep
coastal fog and afternoon westerly winds that yield tiny
berries with thick skins, resulting in a wine that is highly
perfumed and complex. This Pinot Noir is wonderful
paradox as it combines concentration of fruit and spice
with freshness on the palate. The tannins are
pronounced, attributable to the intense afternoon
winds in the vineyard (Zephyr was the Greek god of
the west wind).Yet, the mouthfeel and body of the wine
remains delicate and silky with flavors of raspberries,
Asian spices, and orange peel .
2013 Rose
In 2013, the wine is bone dry at 12.7% alcohol, in
a dashingly light shade of pale melon-pink and with
an aromatic prole of tangerine oil, pink grapefruit,
and bing cherries. Cool-climate West Sonoma Coast
vineyards give the wine its hallmark style, with the
biodynamically-farmed Bybee Vineyard in Sebastopol
Hills making up the backbone for this wine.

“The blend is Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot

2012 Viognier
2012 Zinfandel
Our 2012 Viognier is one of the best you will
ever try! Head spinningly perfumed, opulent but
dry. A full-bodied white wine with big, rich, exotic
Viognier characteristics of apricots, peaches and
citrus blossoms. This is what Viognier is supposed
to taste like. When we drink this wine we feel like
we are sipping it directly from Condrieu France
where Viognier is famed.
Heady raspberry and cherry aromas open to
crisp, layered plum, spice and coconut-tinged
oak flavors. The tannins are appealingly soft and
round. Medium to full-bodied, delicious, and soft
with enough acidity for cleanliness. A great wine
to enjoy with a myraid of Italian dishes.

TIN BARN - California
2012 Cabernet Sauvignon
2012 Zinfandel
Tin Barn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon derives
from the sunny, mild Sonoma Valley. Striking clove
and cherry flavors mingle amid a soft tannic
structure, finishing with nuances of rich chocolate
and toasty sweet oak. Enjoy this wine to its
fullest by pairing with filet mignon or ovenroasted vegetables.
On the eastern edge of the Russian River
Valley lies a stretch of sandy loam soil, which was
planted with Zinfandel (St. George rootstock)
back in 1950. Since 2000, winemaker Michael
Lancaster has worked with this vineyard to make
Zinfandel. This well-established site exposes our
fruit to a cool morning fog that slows its ripening
and concentrates flavors. Consistent
with previous vintages, our 2012 displays a deep
garnet color, lush velvety mouthfeel, and long
seductive finish.
FIGGE- Monterey, California
2012 Sauvignon Blanc
2012 “Pelio” Chardonnay
Hi Vista Vineyard is owned by Dan Hountalas
aged reputable Carneros vineyards for
generations. Carneros provides for a cool
growing season, yielding grapes with fresh citrus
and melon aromas. We barrel ferment a small
portion of the wine to add mouth feel and
texture; the balance is tank fermented cold to
preserve its vibrant flavors. The combination is
then stored in stainless steel on light lees before
bottling. No malolatic fermentation is used,
resulting in a crisp acidity on the palate.
This vineyard is above Talbott’s Diamond T
vineyard in the Quintana property development
opposite Carmel Valley ranch. This wine was hand
harvested in mid October and brought to Marina
for sorting and then whole cluster pressing. Next
day it was racked to 90% new French and 10%
one year old oak. It was inoculated in barrel,
and after fermentation finished, the wine went
through full malo-lactic as well. It was stirred
twice a month and in barrel for 11 months.

touch of honey.

Alicante Bouschet, Petite Sirah, and Black Malvasia.
The nose begins with light notes of cedar,

“Coming from a vineyard that struggles with high
pHs, the 2012 Pinot Noir Tondre Grapefield is a ripe,
textured effort that gives up loads of strawberry, plum,
crushed flowers and spice-like aromas and flavors.
Medium to full-bodied and low in acidity, it has a
beautiful, mouth filling and sexy style that keeps you
coming back to the glass. While it’s hard to resist now,
it should still evolve gracefully for 4-5 years.”
2012 “Ex Anima” Pinot Noir
2012 “Ex Anima” Chardonnay
Wrath’s 2012 Ex Anima Pinot Noir offers a true
barometer of the quality and soul of our estate fruit.
It is hard to believe that a wine under 14 percent
alcohol that sees no new oak (it is aged in a
combination of stainless steel and neutral oak barrels)
can be so rich and expansive. Big aromas of dark
berry and underbrush precede an expressive,
mouth-filling palate that offers seamless fruit and a
bright finish.
Wrath Ex Anima Chardonnay comes from the original
old-vine, own-rooted Clone 4 planted on our estate
vineyard. Free from the trappings of new oak it
examines the true character of the grape. The primary
aromatics and flavors include hazelnut, malt, fresh
cream and dough. The palate is surprisingly rich and
concentrated and the acidity is firm and tight.
2013 “Ex Anima” Sauvignon Blanc
2011 “3 Clone” Chardonnay
The Ex Anima Sauvignon Blanc has evolved into one
of Wrath’s signature wines. The 2013 vintage follows
that tradition while celebrating the true varietal
characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc. A powerful
bouquet shows off a classically grassy nose, with
undertones of grapefruit and celery leaf. Vibrant and
complex, the palate offers enticing acidity- balanced by
expressive notes of gooseberry, lime, and passion
fruit- that finishes with a clean minerality.
2012 “KW Ranch” Syrah
This Syrah from grower Kirk Williams’ KW

with juicy tannins and a bright acidity.

and citrus. Graphite, light smoke, oak and charred wood
develop into nuances of black cherry and candied orange
peel. The massive tannins offer huge and complex structure
that’s loaded with lots of beefy meat & minerality. The extremely long finish leaves an aftertaste of espresso grounds,

2009 Petite Sirah
Again, the Ranch consistently offers tones of wet rock
and conifer forest floor, but otherwise quite
different than French Wedding. Aromas of crème
brulee, chocolate-mocha and cinnamon are mixed in
with kerosene and black pepper. The gentle tannins are
upfront and not shy to say the least. The mouth-coating
tannins are remnants of a meaty, chewy and oily-thick
finish that lingers in the mid-palate. This wine appears
restless (transitional) at the moment.

“The 2008 Lumen Riserva wraps around the palate
with super-ripe dark cherries, flowers, licorice and
sweet herbs. This extroverted, medium to full-bodied
wine delivers the goods, and then some. The style is
very much on the rich, opulent side of things...I find
compelling richness and fabulous personality
throughout. Layers of fruit built to the inviting finish.
Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018” - AG
70% Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, 15% Passerina,

velvety and soft, with a long finish. It is a great
accompaniment to country-style desserts, tarts and

cheese. Excellent as an after dinner meditation wine.

Niepoort 1968 Colheita
Niepoort 1979 Colheita
Superb brick red, green on the rim. Wonderfully dry
citrous fruit hints, smoky flavors and orange peel in
the nose. Impressive bottle sickness (bottle age), tight
and concise. Dark orange chocolate, butterscotch on
the palate. Rich and citrous acidity, elegant, very well
structured with afresh, firm concentration and great
length. A superb wine.
Classic orange / brown appearance with hints of olive
oil green on the rim – a characteristic of long ageing
in old oak casks. Initially slightly smoky on the aroma
with some notes of roasted coffee and orange peel.
Initially on the palate one notices the fantastic balance
between freshness on the one hand and age on the
other, the middle palate is amazing - dominated with
spirit dried citrus fruit and very robust, leading on to a
long mellow spirit finish.

“Now that the color of this superb wine has gone to
old gold, it has definitely become a gloriously mature
Port. The color translates into sweetness, which is
allied to acidity, richness and an immense intensity
due to its long wood aging.” - RV
“Crisp and juicy flavors of dried red berry, sandalwood, cherry tart and spice make for a lively mix.
Long and supple midpalate, with a rum butter finish.

“A powerful, almost black-colored Port. It has the
richness of the vintage allied to ripe blackberry flavors,
and a mineral, tannic structure. Its great fruit makes
it almost drinkable now, but aging will add so many
more dimensions.” - RV
94 pts - Wine Spectator
Solid red appearance with good depth of color. On
the bouquet it is initially austere and closed, but with
time, some notes of spice and pepper come through.
Sweet fruit on the palate and revealing great
freshness and a lengthy firm structure. The wine must
be decanted, serve at the end of a meal with cheese,
especially blue cheese which goes really well.
Niepoort 2011 Vintage Port

“The glass containing the Niepoort Vintage is almost
overflowing with fruity aromas ñ damson, cassis,
tobacco and cigar box all beautifully defined. With
aeration there is a very appealing sense of Bordeauxlike austerity that comes forth. The palate is mediumbodied with very fine tannins, a slight savoriness
infusing the tertiary black fruit, and superb structure
on the reserved, quite aristocratic finish, which offers a
kick of spice on the aftertaste. Wonderful.”

Red appearance with a very alive purple/red rim.
The aroma is dominated by finesse, some unripe
fruit character integrated with balsamic notes. On
the palate the wine is well structured,
uncomplicated and refreshing and the low level of
wood contact allows the fruit and minerality of the
wine to express itself. The middle palate is quite
firm with good depth, while the finish exhibits
complexity, medium length and superb freshness
and acidity on the finish.

limestone vineyard planted with 75-year-old vines.
It has a slightly more expressive, vivacious bouquet
than the Pie Franco 2010 displaying an evocative

is medium-bodied with an understated, sensual entry
that builds beautifully, truffle and garrigue-tinged dark
berried fruit coating the mouth and finishing like a top

“The 2011 P.F. is also from Iniesta and sees 10 months
