North Cape Turnaround Port Lakselv
Welcome to Sápmi and the land of the Midnight Sun
The Arctic Porsanger Fjord is the 4th
longest fjord in Norway and consists
of numerous small islands and exciting
attractions. Often called “the world’s
northernmost archipelago”. Here is the
northernmost canyon and the world’s
northernmost pine forest. A large
dolomite belt that creates amazing
formations and rare plant life. Very good
opportunities for bird watching in nature
reserves.

Three salmon rivers as well as over 4000
lakes. Thus, a true nature gem to discover
in the land of the Midnight Sun! North
Cape International Airport is only 10
minutes away from the harbor, with very
few restrictions. An obvious starting point
for exploring the region. Especially with
the main Sámi culture experiences only a
short drive away.

Knivsmed Strømeng
Duration: On request. Capacity: On request.
The same knife is probably one of the most practical outdoor equipment ever
made. But the same knife has also its own “magical power”. From the old days and
in Sami folk medicine, the knife has a magical healing power which was used to
stop blood, take away pain etc. The new knife workshop with its visitor centre,
museum and sales outlet is a well worth visit.
