WAZA DRAGONS
SOCCER ACADEMY
The WAZA DRAGONS Soccer Academy (W.D.S.A.) focuses on
technical training in all of the major fundamentals including dribbling,
passing, controlling, and shooting. Our staff utilizes a variety of
technical games and small-sided scrimmages to ensure that each
player gets a maximum number of touches and time with the ball to
improve their skills. We create an atmosphere of fun and learning
where your child can develop and grow to love the game.
WAZA is not an acronym as many suspect. Instead it is a Japanese word meaning “technique.” This captures a critical underlying philosophy of WAZA FC - to develop the techniques necessary for soccer players to achieve their highest level. Not only is this belief fostered on the field but also in developing our players’ off field “techniques” in their daily lives.
Classes will be directed by Angela Fontair and staff. Angela is a local coach who has
coached for more than 8 years with recreational level kids 10 and younger. Angela has a
National D license as well as a youth license endorsed by the Michigan State Youth Soccer
Association.
WAZA Wee

Trainers concentrate on individual ball control, dribbling, and shooting where the little Wee ones can have as many
