Oplatki (Christmas Wafers) are
now available at the Rectory.
The
Christmas wafer is symbolic of the
bread that our Lord shared with the
two Emmaus disciples when He was
“known to them in the breaking of the
Bread.” Oplatki is broken and shared with your loved ones on
Christmas Eve with a solemn, yet jubilant, prayer of family and
unity being “One in the Spirit, One in the Lord.”
Blessed are the Peacemakers who serve our Country......
Thank You!

Service of the Nativity:
TODAY,
Sunday, December 21st, at 6:00 PM. This
is a beautiful service to help us
prepare spiritually for the coming of
the Christ Child on Christmas
morning. The focus of the service is our parish nativity
scene which is prepared throughout the service.
As the service progresses with the Readings
and music, various elements of the scene are placed in
the nativity until the entire nativity is complete.
All families are invited to bring their manager
and Christ figure from their own personal nativity scene
to have it blessed. Everyone will be invited to take home
from our parish nativity scene a piece of hay to help
make the connection between your family and the parish
family.
Light refreshments will be served after the
service in the Father King Memorial Hall. All are invited
to attend this beautiful service as we journey from
darkness to the light of Christmas in the birth of Our
Savior, Jesus Christ.
From the youngest member to our oldest
member, everyone will enjoy this evening!

“Giving Tree” is an opportunity to
celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ
by giving gifts of baby items to
unborn babies who will be born in
need this coming year. These gifts
will provide baby clothing and
necessities to young mothers throughout the year.
A Christmas tree has been placed in our main
vestibule of Church and decorated with tags displaying
the description of the needed items.
You, as parishioners, are asked to remove the
tags and purchase the needed items and place the gifts
wrapped or unwrapped under the “Giving Tree”.
The gifts are then collected by Girl Scout

In today’s Gospel… Gabriel asks Mary to be the
mother of the Son of God.
Because Mary was
immaculate from the moment of her conception, she is
able to respond to God’s invitation with great generosity.
She does not seek her own advancement, but rather
places herself at the disposition of God saying that she
is God’s handmaid. She answers God’s call even
though she does not yet fully understand what it all
means. The child is to be called Jesus, a name that
means “Yahweh saves.” He will be the fulfillment of
Nathan’s promise to David, for he will be a king with an
eternal reign. All of this happens because nothing is
impossible with God.

Mary rejoices in the Lord… I rejoice heartily in the
Lord, in my God is the joy of my soul; for he has clothed
me with a robe of salvation, and wrapped me in a
mantle of justice, like a bride adorned with her jewels.
