SAVE THE DATES | 5-11 FEBRUARY 2015 ICC’S 2015 MEDIATION WEEK During seven days, ICC welcomes over 500 participants who are eager to discuss new developments in alternative dispute resolution, analyze and share experiences and meet with colleagues from more than 50 countries. 2nd International Mediation Round Table 5 February 2015 The Mediation Week kicks off with the Round Table event, which offers a unique platform for mediation practitioners and ADR academics from all around the world to exchange best practices, to discuss latest developments, to share experience and to foster the development of an international network of mediators. The Round Table’s interactive format encourages lively discussion on the most current and burning topics about mediation, in a truly international environment. This event is exclusively reserved for the participants of the ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition and invited guests. 10th ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition 6-11 February 2015 This annual event is the only moot devoted exclusively to international commercial mediation. It is ICC’s biggest educational event, but it is also considered to be one of the main educational and networking events in international commercial mediation. Since its first edition, the Competition has grown in size and has gained a lot of international visibility and recognition, accomplishments which will be celebrated this year on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the event. Each year 66 teams from business and law schools from more than 30 countries are selected through a competitive application process and have the opportunity to test their problem solving skills in mock mediation sessions. The students take the role of party or counsel in scenarios based on real international commercial disputes. Around 120 internationally renowned mediators and dispute resolution professionals from around the world also join the event as volunteer judges or mediators. During six days, the Competition will feature over 200 mock mediation sessions, as well as numerous training programmes and social events for no less than 500 participants. Through this diverse program, ICC ensures that the students will learn as much as possible about mediation in order to be able to use it for the resolution of cross-border disputes – may it be as lawyer, in-house counsel, member of management or mediator. For professional mediators, the Competition is the annual occasion to meet, network, exchange, share experiences with other mediators from around the world and learn from each other.
