Peninsula College will be hosting a College Goal Washington event to help students and their families learn about and apply for financial aid for college on Jan 24 from 1-4 pm. You do not need to be attending Peninsula College to attend this event. PA High student Sequim High student "K" took Natural Resources Options class and then got an awesome paid internship. You can too. One day per week after school during second semester will earn you science, English or career credit, two optional college credits, dozens of community service hours, and the chance for real internships. Spaces are available with Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary, Feiro Marine Life Center, Streamkeepers, and Olympic National Park. Visit Mr. Henry's room 110 ASAP to sign up, as space is limited. Club Meetings: current clubs that have scheduled meetings are: Christian Club- meets Monday at lunch in Mr. Moseley’s room 415 GSA meets Monday at lunch time in the Guidance Annex. No minimum test scores required, but applicants who are accepted typically have scores in the mid 600s for Math and English. Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) is an international leadership and service organization. ESA Foundation is the tax-exempt arm of the organization that focuses on scholarships and grants (it is a public foundation). ESA Foundation has numerous scholarships available for Washington State high school seniors. Willamette University offers an Olympic Scholarship exclusively to high school graduates from Clallam and Jefferson counties and to transfer students from Peninsula College. The amount is determined by Willamette University, with a minimum of $2,000. This is normally a one-year award. At graduation, each recipient is designated an Olympic Scholar.
