INTRODUCTION
Background Information:
Nursing training school in Kondoa district is among the MCHA schools under the
Ministry of Health in Tanzania started in 1997. The aim of school was to train MCH
Aides who could offer health services at community level. Since 1998 the MCH Aides
School was upgraded to offer a course of Public Health Nurses “B” (PHNB). The
duration of the course for PHN “B” was two years. For the time being the school is
offering a two years certificate program in nursing.
The school is located in the Northern part of Dodoma region. The district has an area of
13,029 km2 and lies at altitude of 1,200m.
Physical structure of the school.
The school is composed of 5 main buildings: the first building has dormitory, dining hall,
kitchen and two stores. The second one has a classroom, 2 offices and store. The other
buildings is under contractions which two class room, dormitory and dinning and
kitchen.
VISION, MISSION STATEMENTS, MAIN GOAL AND OBJECTIVES
Development of the strategic plan for PHN training school follows the need expressed by
the Ministry of Health to have the strategic plans.
The formulated Vision and Mission statements guide the school future and were built in
order to point out the intended achievements of the school.

Our semester always begin at the first week of April each year.
ACADEMICS
This school is under the ministry of health and social welfare the course offered is certificate
in Nursing.
Admission requirements:
Students intending to apply for the nursing courses should be a Tanzania citizen with the
following qualifications.

An applicant must have completed secondary school Education.

Applicant should have pass science subjects with minimum of “D” PASS in Biology,
chemistry and physics.

All application process is on line through NACTE central admission. On the website
