Our 'Skool of Rock', Koori dance group, competition prize winners, in cupcakes, colouring comp, pet parade, bike decorating, our flashmob dance, games stall and ‘Welcome to Country’ by Donna Dixon. WOW!!! Our children and staff shone. Thanks parents/carers for your support. Congratulations to Isabella Insley, Treigh Stewart and Brooke Dixon who were all presented with awards at the Illawarra South East Aboriginal Awards Ceremony on Monday. The guest speaker was Christine Anu who also sang 'My Island Home'. Brilliant. A number of our Year 5 students gave speeches on Monday hoping to be part of our Leadership team for 2013. The speeches were impressive and all should be proud of themselves. All will be revealed at the senior presentation night. Very exciting. We already have 80 children enrolled in Kindergarten for 2013. These enthusiastic young learners are currently enjoying our transition program and looking forward to 'big school'. Year 6 are off to Sydney next week for their excursion. We will be camping on Cockatoo Island and waking up each morning with a view of the harbour and the bridge. We will also be jet boat riding, going to Taronga Park Zoo and Luna Park (to name a few). A tough gig, but hey someone has to do it! K-2 ASSEMBLY NEWS JH Will be hosting this week’s K-2 assembly.
