Message Notes
College Ready series for High School Seniors, Sundays, 7:30-9pm, beginning
January 25th – The anticipation of college naturally raises a number of fears: Will
I know what to do? Do I know what course of study to pursue? Will I fit in? Do I have
what it takes to make it? Am I ready? Over six sessions College Ready, a high-impact
video experience, will transform your fears and concerns into excitement and
confidence. Cost: $10 for the student guide; contact Ron Budde for questions and
to reserve your spot: hoosier.f18@comcast.net.
Beth Moore Study for Women, Children of the Day: 1 & 2 Thessalonians, Saturdays,
10am-12pm – Do you believe God has a plan for your life but can’t figure it out?
Your circumstances are not coincidental and God’s timing is impeccable. Join
this in-depth Bible study to find encouragement for living the Christian life now
and hope for when Christ returns. Registration $35; contact Suzanne Palmer:
suzannemsp@comcast.net.
Bookshelves overloaded? Donate gently used or new books for MVPC Mission
Partner Harbor House’s Family Literacy Night in early February. Children’s books
are requested but all kinds of books are accepted. Collection boxes are located in
the Resource Center and the FMC office downstairs. You may also help through
donations of $20 for their pizza dinner or bake homemade cookies.
Save the Date: Blood Drive, Saturday, March 14th, 9am-2:30pm – Give the gift of
life as you donate blood.
2014-2015 Financial Update: Praise God! The generosity of our congregation is
worth celebrating. Our projected giving was $332,000. Actual giving was $453,000.
That deficit of $35,000 from last month is wiped out and we are now $84,000
better than budget! That makes a significant impact on our ability to underwrite
the ministries at MVPC. As we begin 2015 we still welcome your financial pledge
for the upcoming year. You can mail it, drop it off in the office, or place it in the
offering in worship. Please pray and discuss your pledge as a family. We have now
completed four months of our fiscal year. Praise God and thank you all for your
generosity!
