The Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Office of Land
Management, invites you to the 2015 Survey Technical Workshop, to be
held March 17 – 19, at Cragun’s Conference Center in Brainerd, MN. This
will be the 18th annual workshop of this kind and we are pleased to once
again sponsor this event. The focus of this workshop is on surveying,
mapping, GIS and other related topics of interest.

Vendors & Exhibits
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. The
workshop program then commences at 10:00 a.m. The next 2½ days will
include educational sessions and exhibits. The workshop concludes on
Thursday, March 19 at approximately 12:15 p.m. Please visit Cragun’s

interpreter or if you have other special attendance considerations.
Registration & Cost
This year registration will close on March 11, 2015 or when the total number of
registrations reaches 325. We are also instituting an early and a late registration
fee. The Early Registration Fee will be $100 if the registration is postmarked by
February 13, 2015. The Late Registration Fee will be $125 if postmarked after
February 13, 2015 and before March 11, 2015.

SUCCESSFULLY REGISTER FOR THE 2015 SURVEY TECHNICAL WORKSHOP.

STEP 2 – Complete the Cragun’s Reservation Form (lodging and/or meals) and
send as specified below. Skip STEP 2 if lodging and meals are not necessary!

The registration fee appearing on the form will assist in covering workshop costs. This
fee is non-negotiable BUT it is transferable. Credit cards are not accepted.
PLEASE NOTE: THE REGISTRATION FEE INDICATED ON THE APPROPRIATE
FORM BELOW DOES NOT INCLUDE THE COST OF MEALS OR LODGING AT THE
WORKSHOP. A separate Cragun’s Reservation Form is required to reserve meals and
lodging (see STEP 2). Please follow the instructions on the form. Cancellations

Under Minnesota Statutes Chapter 13, called the Minnesota Government Data
Practices Act (MGDPA), data that are created, collected, and/or maintained by
MnDOT are public unless a specific statute or law classifies the data as
something other than public. The information that you provide on this
registration form is considered public data under the MGDPA. MnDOT is
obligated to release this data upon request.

district/metro TDS (Training Development Specialist).

Less than 10 days prior to arrival: NO DEPOSIT REFUND.
No show (arrival night): NO DEPOSIT REFUND (Room will be held until 12 noon the
following day). You will be responsible for the nights requested.
MEALS/BREAKS FOR WORKSHOP COMMUTERS:
If you are not planning your lodging at Cragun’s, you may still purchase meals. Below is
the breakdown of the meals. These meals/breaks are priced the same as if you were
lodging at Cragun’s. Please remember, breaks are included in the meal packages as
indicated in the chart below.

Professional Development Hours
For those submitting for Professional Development Hours with the Board of
Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscaping Architecture, Geoscience and
Interior Design, please select those sessions that will meet your personal training needs
and satisfy your defined licensing standard requirements. Workshop participants are
responsible for submitting for Professional Development Hours with the board.
Attendees planning on using this workshop towards earning professional development
hours are responsible for retaining registration receipts and the workshop brochure,
which provides the agenda and course descriptions. As sponsor of this event, the Office
of Land Management will provide workshop participants with a Certificate of
Attendance, on Thursday, March 19, after the workshop at the registration table in the
Centre. To receive a certificate of attendance from the Minnesota Department of
Transportation, workshop participants are required to have attended the full three days
of sessions. A certificate of attendance will be distributed following the last session to
keep for your records.
Vendors & Exhibits
Vendor displays and exhibits can be viewed in the Lakeside Dining Room. Vendor
displays can be viewed throughout the workshop, beginning the afternoon of March 17
through the PM break on March 18. Exhibitors will be happy to answer specific
questions regarding their products and services.
