PRELUDE
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Pastor Wendee Nitz
(Please take a moment to register your presence on the Fellowship Pad and include each person
attending with you and all contact information. If you are visiting us this morning, welcome! We
encourage you to pick up a visitor bag on the bench by the front door as you leave. Prayer cards are
in the chair racks in the Sanctuary. Place the cards in the offering plate later in the service.)
TIME OF CENTERING
Please ponder this quote in your meditations as you prepare and center yourself for worship
“Afoot and light-hearted I take to the open road/Healthy, free, the world before me/The long
brown path before me leading wherever I choose/Henceforth I ask not good-fortune, I myself
am good fortune” By Walt Whitman
*OPENING PRAYER We await your message, God of all places and times. Sometimes
we do not like what we hear, but we know we need to listen. Your message is inclusive
and fair, while we like to make distinctions that favor us and our friends. You call us
out of our comfort zones to do new things and try better ways. You direct us to reach
out to people with whom we seem to have little in common. Speak your truth to us in
this service so we can carry it to the places where you call us to go, to the people you are
eager to reach. Amen.

hours of dedicated service that you have put into helping the church to be the church.
Congregation: We thank you for all that you have done on our behalf, and the behalf
of the church of Jesus Christ. May God bless you. With you, we pledge our
commitment to listen for God’s call to ourselves and promise to be open to the tasks and
responsibilities that God may be calling us to in the future.

INSTALLATION OF 2015 LEADERS
Leader: Dear friends, you have been called by God and chosen by the people of God for
servant leadership in the church. This ministry is a blessing and a serious responsibility. It
recognizes your special gifts and calls you to work among us and for us. In love we thank
you for accepting your obligation and challenge you to offer your best to the Lord, to these
people, and to our ministry in the world. Live a life in Christ and make God’s Spirit known
in your witness and your work. Let us pray together . . .
Congregation: Wonderful and Life-giving God, pour out your blessings upon your
servants who have been given particular ministries in your church. Grant them grace
to give themselves wholeheartedly in your service. Keep before them the example of
our Lord, who did not think first of himself, but gave himself for us all. Let them share
his ministry and consecration so that they may enter into his joy. Guide them in their
work and reward their faithfulness with the knowledge that through them your
purposes are accomplished; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Sarah Circle is hoping to assemble and
deliver some layettes to Children's
Hospital, 16th St. Clinic and St. Francis'
Hospital soon. We are in need of a few
items to complete the layettes.
Our current inventory is:
 Onesies – 7
 Sleepers – 7
 Hates – 19
 Receiving Blankets – 20
 Quilts or Reg. Blankets- Several
So, it is the onesies and sleepers that we
are in need of before we can start. We'd
like a total of 18 or more of each item. If
you will help, the size for these 2 items
is 3 - 6 mos. Also, we need baby/sport
yarn or 4 ply yarn to give to our knitters
and crocheters to make blankets. Thank
you for all the support you give this
much appreciated mission project.
Thank you for the response to my book,
"Blessed Assurance Through Visions and
Dreams" last Sunday. Some asked if I
would have the book available this
Sunday. I will have them with me should
you wish to purchase for $9.00. A
donation of $2.00 per book will be given
to the Youth mission trip. - Christal
Bindrich.
