This is the second edition of the research symposium, which was initiated in the year 2014. This event is organized for research scholars doing cutting edge research in prestigious universities across India. It is a platform to showcase research, share ideas, get feedback, discuss research and technical concepts. This symposium has been instituted with the vision to serve as an avenue to connect the research scholars of Mechanical engineering and Allied disciplines from various research institutes in India and to display various research activities going on in Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bombay. Research scholars from other institutes are invited to participate in this event so that research community gets connected and grows collectively. The wider vision of MEGRES is to improve the technical interaction between universities and industries, thereby bridging science & technology. Objectives The aim of MEGRES’15 is to bring into limelight, the research work being carried out by PhD students of Mechanical Engineering and Allied disciplines Interact with alumni, faculties and research scholars across departments/institutes showcasing research Network research scholars Fostering a culture of sharing and helping among research scholars Facilitate industry collaboration Exposure to state of art research facilities Call for abstract We invite for abstracts in all Mechanical and Allied disciplines for MEGRES’ 15 Important dates Last date for registration: 18th Feb 2015 Last date for submission of abstract: 18th Feb 2015 Confirmation of acceptance of papers: 28th Feb 2015 Thermal Sciences: Micr o & Nano-Fluids, Rarefied Gas Flows, Turbulent Flows, Fluid & Thermal Instabilities, Turbulence & Mixing Under Extreme Conditions, Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, Bluff-Body Wakes & Vortex-Induced Vibrations, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Flow Visualization & Optical Diagnostics, Heat Transfer & Thermodynamics, Low Pressure Plasmas, Statistical Mechanics, FluidStructure Interaction, Multiphase Flows, Spray Bubble & Droplets, IC Engine, Gas Turbine & Combustion, Fire Dynamics, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Cryogenics, Energy Systems & Storage, Renewable Energy, Power Plant Engineering, Turbomachinery, Gas Dynamics, Bio-Mimetic Systems, Bio-Heat Transfer Manufacturing: Mater ial Pr ocessing, Advanced Manufactur ing Technology, Machine Tools & Tooling, Manufacturing Automation, Modelling, Measurement & Quality Engineering, Micro & Nano Manufacturing, Surface Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, Green & Sustainable Manufacturing, Advance Application of Manufacturing, CAD/CAM/CIM, Production Engineering, Metal Forming, Metallurgy, Welding Processes, Rapid Prototyping & Tooling, Computer Graphics, Computer Numerical Control, Non-Conventional Machining Processes, Modeling, Simulation & Optimization of Manufacturing Processes, Casting Technology, Biomedical Applications using Manufacturing Technology Design: Computational Solid Mechanics, Fr actur e Mechanics, Biomechanics, Experimental Solid Mechanics, Finite Element Method, Structural Instabilities, Plasticity, Material Modelling, Composites, Robotics, Structural Health Monitoring, Vibrations, Vibroacoustics, Dynamics & Control, MEMS & NEMS, Continuum Mechanics, Haptics, CAD/CAM/CAE, Multiscale Modelling, Fluid-Structure Interaction Allied topics not mentioned in the list are welcome for submission Panel Discussion: Abstracts will be shortlisted by a review committee consisting of faculty members.
