“His Smile”
Though his smile is gone forever
And his hand I cannot touch,
I still have so many memories
of the one I loved so much.
His memory is my keepsake
With which I’ll never part.
God has him in his keeping,
I have him in my heart.
Sadly missed but never forgotten

The guitars’ now silent,
The songs are unsung,
The trapline is quiet beneath the
deep snow.
The farm is now sold,
The bus wheels are still,
But the bridges that were built will
let us meet again.

James Carl
Kuster
57 years old born in Edmonton.
Passed away in
Malakwa BC
January 7, 2015.
Pre-deceased by his parents Henry & Josephine Kuster and special people including Grandma
Donovan, Aunty Doris, Rose Bernard, Marleen (Bernard), Ace and Sam his old black labs.
Leaving behind his wife Claudette Kuster, son Carl & wife Shelley, grandson Carver,
daughter Michelle & partner Chris and grandson Brody, all living in BC. Sister Pat Benson
and family, brother Henry and family of Wildwood AB, sister Clara and partner Dave & family of
Edmonton AB.
Jim grew up in Wildwood and moved to Edmonton in grade 6. After he married his high school
sweetheart Claudette, they moved to and enjoyed living in Riviere Que Barre then moved to
Westlock where they started and operated C.C.Cycle (a motorcycle, snowmobile business)
for almost 30 years, he enjoyed all the people he met. During his full life he raced bicycles,
motocross, trail biked, snowmobiled, played sports, worked hard, loved the outdoors and the
mountains. He did many projects, which he always had going and they always pulled people into
his circle of life. Jim loved to share his excitement, love and skills for riding and exploring with
everyone who was willing to go with him. He loved to get people to challenge themselves, to try
doing something new or improve their skills and go places they could only imagine before. He
could see goodness in everyone. His wish was that all of the family and friends left behind would
enjoy their life to the fullest and not be afraid to take a new trail or a “short cut”. He was a strong
advocate for a healthy lifestyle and sincerely hoped any smokers would quit.
We would like to thank his special care givers who for the last year helped him enjoy life. Cynthia
Lanni (Claudette’s sister Marleen’s oldest daughter} from Coleman AB. Charlene (Marleen’s
youngest daughter) and her husband with a huge heart, Chris Vozeh from Memphis TN. Thank
you to their families as well, for giving them to us to have here for the last year.
Celebration of life will be at the Westlock and District Community Hall, Sat. May 23, 1:00pm .
In lieu of flowers the family is asking people to write a paragraph or story about Jim: how you
remember him, how he affected you, or a great adventure you had together. These memories
will be put into a book for his family to share; and for his grand kids, so they will know the
person their Grandpa was. You can send them to 47claudette@gmail.com
