YOUR MISSION COMPLETED: MODERN COMFORTS
Last week, we asked for your recipes for relaxation. To say mission accomplished would be an
understatement as Vancouver Gastroposters submitted a record number of posts sharing foods that
give them the warm fuzzies. On these pages, Twitter handles are in blue and Instagram in brown.

YOUR NEXT
MISSION:
IN THE RAW
For all the wonderful ways foods can be prepared,
sometimes it’s best to keep it simple. For this week’s
mission, be a raw-abiding Gastroposter and show us
your favourite greens, beans, fruits and legumes that
are best eaten as is. Or get back to basics with shellfish,
steak tartare and sushi (this is Vancouver, after all).
It’s up to you what food you choose, as long as it’s
enjoyed in the raw.

To get you going, we thought we’d dangle this
raw carrot cake made by Gastroposter Jasmine Lukuku
in front of you. The layers are made with carrots,
coconuts, dates, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, coconut
flour and “loaded with nuts, seeds and raisins. All good
stuff!” Jasmine explains on her blog theblenderist.com.
