Understanding
Congestive Heart Failure
Lynn Beard, M.D.
Ginger Bess has performed on stages from coast to coast.
She has a wealth of beautiful jazz standards and her
voice has been rivaled with that of Rosemary Clooney.
Heart Failure is a medical condition caused when the heart does not
pump blood as well as it should. What causes heart failure? How is it
treated? Dr. Lynn Beard M.D., internist, is skilled in treating congestive
heart failure. At our next Healthy Conversation he will discuss:
• What causes congestive heart failure?
• What are the symptoms?
• How is it treated?
• Will I need surgery?
• What increases my risk of developing heart failure?
• Is my heart going to stop working?
• Can I reverse congestive heart failure?
• Can I prevent heart failure?
• What other health problems can heart failure cause?
“She acts, she dances, and boy can she sing.”
~ Linda East Brady—Standard-Examiner
Sammy Brue is a 13 year old
folk singer from the Portland
Oregon area. He has a couple
of albums worth of original
songs under his belt and has
