Ministry to the Sick and Homebound
Please notify us of any parishioner who is ill at home. Due to privacy laws, priests/deacons
must be asked by family members to visit parishioners in the hospital or nursing home.
Please advise us of those in need of the Church’s ministry.

On this day, we give thanks for the women and
men who have committed their lives to living and
working in and through a religious community.
They do so much good in the world. As Pope
Francis said, “The consecrated life appears to
us just as it really is: A Gift of God!”
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Thank you to our Religious Education students and our
Confirmation candidates who participated by
collecting food and money for our Souper Bowl of
Caring this past weekend at both of our Cathedrals.
Through your generous donations we collected
$714.00 and several bags of groceries for our Food
Shelf at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
This event is a blessing to our hungry neighbors who
get assistance from our Food Shelf.

you for supporting this important event.

BISHOP COYNE’S VESPER
Thank you to everyone who donated food for the
Chittenden County Emergency Food Shelf at Bishop
Coyne’s Vesper Service on Wed., Jan. 28th.. Your
donation of 218 pounds of food will feed many
hungry people at this difficult time of year. Thank
you for your generosity.
Let us pray:
Good and gracious God,
Who calls every man and woman to live a life
of holiness,
We give You praise for those men and women
we call brothers or sisters.
Grant them the wisdom to know and love You
and to share that love with others.
Grant more vocations to the Church through
consecration to religious life.
We ask all this in the name of Christ, Your Son
and our Lord.

The annual celebration of World Marriage Day took
place last Sun., Feb. 1st, at the 10:45 a.m. Mass at the
Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Bishop Coyne
celebrated this very special Mass and provided photo
ops and congratulations to all our couples celebrating
significant anniversaries during this year. Robert and
Ruthmary Lizotte got a standing ovation on the 70th
anniversary of their married life.

couples.
BIRTHRIGHT
Birthright, a pro-life pregnancy service, will hold an
Informational Meeting for prospective volunteers on
Tues., Feb. 10th at 7:00 p.m. at their office at 289
College Street in Burlington. Birthright’s mission is to
provide unconditional loving help to any woman
distressed by an unplanned pregnancy to help her carry
her baby to term. We believe, “It is the right of every
pregnant woman to give birth and the right of every
child to be born”. All interested people are welcome
to attend. Refreshments will be served.

COMMUNION BREAKFAST
Hosted by Catholic Financial Life Chapter N035—
Winooski, Knights of Columbus Council #2284 and
Daughters of Isabella Madonna Circle 730 a
Communion Breakfast on Sun., Feb. 15th and Sun.,
Mar. 15th at the Winooski Senior Center. Serving
time is from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Breakfast
will feature Scrambled Eggs, Home Fries, Bacon,
Sausage, Pancakes, French Toast, Coffee, Tea and
Juice. Adults: $5, $4 for ages 6 to 12, Free for
children 5 and under.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Vermont
Catholic Formation Funds.
NORTHEAST CATHOLIC COLLEGE
OPEN HOUSE
Northeast Catholic College Open House dates are
Thurs. & Fri., Feb. 22nd & 23rd. The College is
pleased to offer free room and board to any incoming
