Rules
General Show Rules
1. Steer and heifer exhibitors must be bona-fide school age 4-H and FFA members. Minimum age for
exhibitor is nine (9) years of age. Goat show competition is open to any youth up to one year out of high
school. There is no minimum age for goat show exhibitors.
2. All animals must be on the Ag Center grounds and processed by 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 6th.
Veterinarian certificates of inspection are not required for animals that do not cross state lines.
3. All animals will be exhibited at the owner’s risk. Feed and care is the responsibility of the owner/exhibitor.
4. Animals may be disqualified if they are unruly and not under control of the exhibitor or are a disruption to
the show, the judge, or other exhibitors and animals.
5. An exhibitor must show his or her own animal in each class entered unless that exhibitor has more than one
animal in that particular class.
6. All animals are to be shown in their natural conformation. Any surgical procedure, injection or application
of any substance, which could affect the animal’s performance or alter the natural contour, conformation, or
appearance is prohibited.
7. All decisions of the Autauga Agribition Executive committee are final.
Goat Show Rules
1. All Percentage & Full-blood goats must be properly entered and tattooed with their respective tattoos
legible.
2. All Goats must be processed by 3:00 p.m.
3. Any goat may be used for the parade or showmanship.
4. Market Goats will be shown in 4 weight divisions (evidence of permanent teeth are permitted). Commercial
does will show as Juniors or Seniors. Juniors must have their baby teeth. All commercial does and market
goats will be shown by weight, not birthdate.
5. Does and Bucks will be classed according to age. Class breaks will be determined after entries are
processed.
Steer Show Rules
1. To be eligible for competition, all steers must be properly entered and eartagged with their respective state.
2. All breeds and crossbreeds are eligible.
3. Steers will be broken by weight. Weight class will consist of approximately 5 steers per class.
4. Exhibitors may pay entry fees on Friday, February 6tht.
Heifer Show Rules
1. To be eligible for competition, all heifers must be properly entered in their respective state.
2. All heifers must be born after January 1, 2012, and before August 1, 2014.
3. All breeds and crossbreeds are eligible.
4. Class breaks will be determined after processing is completed.
5. Exhibitors may pay entry fees on Friday, February 6th.
Directions
From Selma: Take Alabama Highway 14 East to Autaugaville. Kirkpatrick Pavilion will be on the left about
one- quarter mile east of town.
From Prattville (from Interstate 65): Take Exit 179 toward Prattville. Follow U.S. Highway 82 West to
Alabama Highway 14 West. Turn left. Go approximately 11 miles and Kirkpatrick Pavilion will be on the
right.
From Tuscaloosa: Take U.S. Highway 82 East to Alabama Highway 14 West. Turn right. Go approximately 15
miles and Kirkpatrick Pavilion will be on the right.

You may bring bedding or purchase it on site (please NO STRAW in the stalls).
Generators are recommended.
