Psalm 29:10b states that our King sits enthroned forever—this statement is important for us as followers. We are not meant for the throne; however, there is a desire deep within us to make the throne ours. If we are honest, we would love to be in complete control of our lives and live however we want. We commit treason by kicking God off the throne of our hearts and retaining control. God designed our lives to work best when He is in control. Our desires must shift from the throne to the One who sits on the throne. The hope for the weekend is that God will remove us from the throne of our lives and He will be enthroned at the rightful place as King in our hearts. Our lives belong to the King; the throne in heaven belongs to the King; the throne in our heart also belongs to the King. It is time to be dethroned!
