Order of Worship
February 8, 2015
+Opening Prayer
Sermon Notes
Theme: Love
+Call to Worship (I John 4:7-12)
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth
is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for
God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that
God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son
to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also
to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one
another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;
and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not
grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always
having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Hymn of the Month
#141
Love Lifted Me
Howard E. Smith
1. I was sinking deep in sin, Far from the peaceful shore,
Very deeply stained within, Sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the sea, Heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, Now safe am I.
