Test preparation at le rosey 2014-15

Test preparation at le rosey 2014-15
Personalized SAT & ACT Instruction
Le Rosey’s test preparation program has been a great success since its introduction in 2011.
Students completing the course have raised their SAT score by a remarkable average of 440
points, or their ACT score by 6.5 points. Such improvements often make the difference in US
college applications.
In the autumn and summer terms of 2014-15 Le Rosey is again offers the opportunity for students to
prepare for the SAT and ACT in courses taught by two on‐campus specialists from the USA. Sarina A.
Steinbarth and Craig Fulghum provide personalized instruction in small groups of usually 1-3 students.
Our weekly schedule means that we are able to provide 3 periods per week in term 1 and 3. We insist on
regularity and reliability from the students: these are not “drop-in” private classes on an ad-hoc basis; for
that reason, classes are billed on a termly “forfait” basis:
Term 1 (September to December): CHF 5,400
Term 3 (April to June):
CHF 4,500
Each course includes a diagnostic test, lessons covering all components of the test, timed practice tests,
“clinics” and essay‐writing instruction and editing. The cost of all class and test materials is included.
Parents receive feedback on students’ end-of-term reports.
If you would like to enroll your son or daughter in a course, or if you have any questions about test
preparation at Le Rosey or elsewhere, you should contact Sarina Steinbarth at ssteinbarth@rosey.ch or
Mr Whyte at tawhyte@rosey.ch or by phoning the school.
Places are limited and priority will be given to students who began the course in spring 2014, and
thereafter to class t students, class 1 students and early applicants.
And there are also Le Rosey’s SAT at Sea
courses for those who prefer to focus on test
preparation during the spring break or summer
vacation.
