A comedy, with friends, having dinner, just without the kids
Treatment by Lee Patterson
Weekly: The format for “Nothing Ordinary” is focused on a weekly 30 minute unbiased and bold discussions among a
panel of 6-8 guest usually consisting of the host, co-host, 3 Local entrepreneurs and/or artist, 2 political figures
(maybe convicted). All with diverse personalities at a dinner table for a comedic, quirky, intellectual and entertaining
dining experience to recap current events, pop culture, Music, and relationships. All while enjoying the good life, great
food and wine at a dinner table set in a lavish destination, mainly at the private Lake House.
We will also explore the random conversations among our guests and watch how the evening unfolds at the table as
the personalities clash and how we managed to avoid for example; When guest laugh out loud due to a controversial
political comment and moments where the guest agree on the entertaining quality of a performance that is currently in
town. At the end, everybody will be full, feeling good, educated and there will be music. (modified for PG)
The guests are not one sided as far as politics and personal beliefs, but are of mixed views, so that a more diversified
set of views is achieved. One guest would be a liberal commentator or a political figure, another one would be a
conservative commentator or politician and another would be a person with moderate beliefs i.e. a person who does
not have a clear ideological label. In each episode, numerous members of the panel would be an actor, comedian,
musician, or any other celebrity or a special random non industry related guest (such as local therapist, writer,
homeless person and etc.)
The show will be a compilation of Real Time, The View, Dinner for 5, SNL and Housewives.
Intro: Every episode starts off at the front door entrance as the host welcomes the camera into the home and
performs a comedic out of the box and over the top mini sketch relating to the primary topic of that episode.
(See details on episode format)
Food: The kitchen will introduce and follow a featured celebrated chef and allow him to elaborate and instruct us on
what appetizers, entrees and desserts he will prepare for our guest this evening. Let’s just hope for enough portions,
and lack of kitchen fires….. (All recipes will be provided on the screen)
Drink: The celebrated chef or promoted beverage brand will pair exclusive beverages for each dinner.

Networks:
Demographics:
We seek a Network that would cater to a specific audience that enjoys entertainment, drinks, food, lifestyle and
intellectual conversation.
An online Network is an interesting focus, due to the aggressive efforts they have made in producing their own
programing and being available to a broad and diverse audience. They also have the unique capabilities of utilizing
interactive ads and pop ups during the program, which in turn can generate extensive ad revenue.
However, Nothing Ordinary will only work online in larger markets and when nationally syndicated. Buffalo and other
cities will not survive independently.
