SCHOOL OF NURSING Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitoner ARNP Post-Masters Certificate The Post-Master’s Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program will build upon competences obtained in the student’s family or adult nurse practitioner program and prepare students to provide advanced nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in acute care settings. This certificate will satisfy requirements for taking the acute care nurse practitioner certification exam from the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). The post master’s ACNP certificate will require 16 additional graduate hours. Graduate admission is processed through the School of Nursing. Admission to the graduate nursing programs is limited.
