Casino Themed Fundraiser
at the DACC
SPIN the Erie Canal
Come on Get up and Get your Ride on.
Ride from Albany to Buffalo, 600 miles
tracking each mile through a DACC spinning
class. Each spin class equals 12 miles and
every class taken you put the date in the log
book. After every 10 classes an x goes on
the board. The first 20 spinners to complete
the 600 miles will receive a DACC t-shirt.
This is a free program for our members and
$12 for potential members. Contact Darcie

The DACC Aquatics program will host its
second annual Casino Night on Saturday,
April 18th from 7:00-11:00 pm. Don’t miss
out on the fun and excitement as you
escape to a mini version of Vegas right
here in Delanson. Great food provided by

Roosterdoodles Café and Cakes. Don’t

Join the Couch to 5K team!
Have you always wanted to run a 5K and
didn’t know how to get started? This
program is perfect for you. Your instructors
are avid runners with many years and miles
of experience. We offered this program last
year with wonderful results. You will be
provided with the days, time, place and
miles for each training session, getting you
ready for the 5k Dash on May 17th. Cost:
$55 per person (5K Dash registration

The DACC will be offering a LEGO Club
where elementary students in Grades 1-3
can learn about key simple machine
concepts.
These concepts will be
introduced using hands-on activities based
on the LEGO Simple Machines Set.
Students will work in in teams of two
where they will discover basic physical
science concepts such as gears, pulleys,
levers, wheels and axles while building
teamwork and communication skills.
The club will be held each Friday starting
March 13, 2015 through June 19, 2015
from 3:45 to 4:45 PM. The club is open to
all children. The cost for children in the
DACC afterschool program is $5 per class
while the cost for all other children is $10.
Parents interested in signing up their child

DACC Offers a Swim Clinic
FUN DAZE Offered
FUN DAZE will be offered on March 20th
April 3rd and April 6-10th from 7:30 a.m. to 3
p.m. The cost per day is $30 for members or
$40 for potential members. Extended care is
available from 3 - 6 p.m. for an additional $5
per day. Each day's activities includes, arts
and crafts, swimming, computers and gym
time. Two snacks are provided. Please pack
your child’s lunch. We need a minimum of
five registered students for FUN DAZE to
operate.
Learn How to Swim
Laps for the DACC
Thank you to all who participated in our
Laps for the DACC event on Jan 26th. It was
such a success we are now able to
purchase a new pool vacuum. Your efforts
and dedication to the Center are truly
appreciated.
A new series of swim lessons will begin in
March. Sign up early. Give your child a
lifelong gift.
Research shows that
participation in formal swimming lessons
could reduce the likelihood of childhood
drowning by 88%. Call the DACC for details

Attention Kayakers
Spring is Almost Here
Only two months left to refine your kayaking
skills. Bring your kayak to the DACC and
practice your rolls, turns and other skills.
This is an independent session but there are
skilled kayakers on site at every session to
help you with any of your kayaking
challenges.
Not sure if you want to be on the swim team?
Are you already on the team but want to
improve your skills? We will be running swim
clinics on 4/6 – 4/9. Check out our diving,
breaststroke and butterfly sessions. Please
contact the DACC for more details at 8959500.
Did you always want to be a
Lifeguard?
The DACC will offer a Red Cross
Lifeguarding course running April 6th –April
10th from 9am – 5pm.
Cost: Members $225/ Potential Members
$300. Call the DACC for more info at 8959500. Employment opportunities at the
DACC pool are available for certified
lifeguards.

Did You Know You Can Rent
the DACC POOL?
Looking for something to do over the April
school break? Put a group together and
rent three lanes of the DACC pool. Our
group pool rentals are $65 for members and
$85 for potential members for one hour.
Come check us out and see all the fun
activities we have to offer. Your rental can
be for an open swim or we can help you
organize a water game for your group. For
