Notices
While Fr Eddie is unwell and out of his parishes, Fr Martin and I have been asked
to cover. Until further notice, there will no longer be a Mass on Saturday mornings
nor on Thursday evenings at St Joseph’s. Please keep Fr Eddie in your prayers.

There will be a service of the Word with communion on Monday, Tuesday and
Mass Next Week Friday this week. The funeral mass of Cathie Doherty will be celebrated by Fr
Chambers, here, at St Joseph’s, at 10am on Thursday 5th March.
Spring Dance
Thanks to those who arranged last Saturday’s Spring Dance, and to all who came
along to join in. From the money it raised, £50 was donated to ACROSS and £50
to SSVP. Thank you.
ACROSS
Fundraiser
Thanks to everyone who went to the hall after Mass last Sunday to raise funds for
ACROSS and the work they do taking sick pilgrims to Lourdes. Altogether they
raised £422 on the Sunday, to which the £50 mentioned above is to be added.
Choir Practices
Choir Practices for Holy Week and Easter continue every Sunday at 6 p.m. in the
church. New members are welcome.
Thanks to all the parents and children who came along to the meeting on
Wednesday. I hope you found it helpful.
First Confession As you know, the sacrament of reconciliation will be celebrated at 11am on
Meeting
Saturday 14th March with those children in primary 3 and preparing for their first
communion next year as well as any older children who have not yet made their
first confession. Of course, anyone is welcome to come along to the celebration.
World Day of
Prayer
A service will be held in Holy Trinity Church at 2pm on Friday 6th March to mark
the World Day of prayer. All are welcome.
Stations of the
Cross
There will be an opportunity for those who wish to pray the Stations of the Cross
after the morning Mass on Fridays during Lent.
Confirmation &
First
Communion
Easter Sunday this year is 5th April with Confirmation and First Communion being
celebrated during the 11am Mass on Sunday 17th May. 24th May is the Feast of
Pentecost and parishioners are invited to the hall after the 11am Sunday Mass to
join the children who celebrated Confirmation the previous weekend for a little
celebration.

Crosshouse
Hospital
The EACHA box will be in the porch next weekend, 7th/8th March, for donation.
