For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. The past few years have been very trying for me. Last year the enemy pulled out all stops and antics to get me to lose my focus and faith in the Father. I cannot tell and express everything that happened but I will share one testimony of His healing power. Around the third week in July of last year, after washing my hair, I took a Q-Tip to get the excess water out of my ears. At the same time, I reached for something behind me and lost my balance, falling against the wall on my right side - the same side that I was using the Q-Tip. Regretfully, the Q-tip became lodged into my ear. I immediately went down in much pain, sat down and pulled it out of my ear. At the same time, I was praying and binding the devil confessing and taking hold of my healing in advance . I did not see any blood or discharge and praised God for that, hoping that I did not penetrate my eardrum. However, my hearing was muffled and my ear felt like it was stopped up. After about an hour or two, the pain subsided very much. I went to sleep but when I woke up the next morning, there was blood on my pillow. I went to the ER to make sure everything was okay and the doctor said that my eardrum was ruptured. I would have to follow up with an ENT as soon as possible (which was about in two weeks when I called to schedule the appointment). The next week, I hit a deer on the way back from treating myself for my birthday dessert. It was my first time ever hitting a deer and the damage was mainly to my front bumper. I was fine. looked like a very small rock coming from one of the trucks towards me. As I kept driving, the size of the rock appeared bigger and larger as it bounced towards my lane. When it hit my wind- My Testimony Sister Segatha Douglas I have learned how to lean and depend on Him with a bold and fearless faith! The very next week, while on my way to the ENT appointment, I was in the far right lane on I-35 in preparation to exit to the hospital. The highway was full of traffic and many 18 wheelers, as usual. From the center lane, I saw what shield, it was the size of a kingsized baking potato. I had to pull off of the road and call for help. Glass was everywhere and in my hair, and much of the glass became as powder upon me. My appointment was in about 15 minutes so I knew I would miss it. After getting EMT assistance, they found not one cut on me. My uncle was able to drive me to my appointment and they still saw me even though I was almost an hour late and had glass all on my clothing. The doctor’s report was that my ear had begun to heal well and the perforation was now closed. However, she saw fluid behind my ear and advised that I should return if I still had issues after the next 2 weeks. Over the next few nights, I began to hear a sound in my ear that was like a washing machine and it became louder. I went online to research and realized that it was my pulse that I was hearing due to the fluid in my ear. It was causing a condition called “pulsatile tinnitus”. It was very annoying and pain started to come and go, as well as the muffled hearing. About the first week of September, Bishop said on one Sunday morning service that 30 people would be healed in that service. Although I had already believed God and received healing for the rupture in my ear, the battle was advancing to other problems. Right then I claimed my healing for every issue caused by the rupture and believed God that I was one of the 30. The enemy tried to discourage me each time my ear was ringing with my own pulse, causing me not to be able to hear as I should at work and even at church. But I heard Pastor Valerie say a few weeks later at prayer, quoting what Bishop had prophesied in the previous intercessory prayer - that healing would be manifested in 7 days. I was not there that previous Saturday, but God hand- delivered my word of faith right where I was, so I believed that I would be one to receive the manifestation. I had calculated and that left me with one day left for the healing of the tinnitus to be manifested. I had an expectation for the fluid to drain from my ear! I had not had one nights sleep without the ringing since it started. But that was over! That night the issue ceased and for a season all other issues ceased as well. About a week later, I realized that the enemy was not going to let up and tried to bring the tinnitus back and take my healing. I had a “dog-gone” Caleb tenacity that he was not going to steal my blessing so the fight was on! I bound him in Jesus’ name and brought backGod His word concerning His promise and the tinnitus never returned! The enemy tried another plan. About the first or second week of November, I was writing this testimony to give a praise report of my healing, and the next day I woke up and felt off balance when I moved or turned my head. I never felt like that before. I went to work but each time I would lift my head up or turn my head in a certain direction, I would feel off balance again. That evening, I was somewhat dizzy while driving and ended up at the ER. I was diagnosed with Benign-positional vertigo, a condition they said was caused from the ruptured eardrum. It can happen when crystals in the inner ear become dislodged causing the equilibrium to be off, which makes the spinning and dizzy sensation, as well as nausea and vomiting. They put me on Meclizine, which causes drowsiness. Over the next few days, I could not function and had to miss work and ended up back at the hospital. The doctor said that this condition can last for a short or a long period of time but to continue my medication. I was referred back to the ENT. I followed the doctor’s orders and prayed for a miracle so that I could drive and go back to work. I did get better over the next few days. I knew that I was under attack by the enemy’s noemas and that I had to continue to fight the good fight of faith. I had declared that I had already won this battle and would not give up my healing! When I went back to the ENT, they gave me a hearing test and a thorough ear exam due to the vertigo and cleared me of any ill findings! After about 2 weeks later, I was able to visit my father for Thanksgiving. While I was there, I had visited my uncle and his wife. She had just overcome vertigo, which had plagued her for about a year or two. When I looked online, there were people who had the issue and still had not been able to recover, having daily nausea, vomiting and dizzy spells. I thank God that I was able to overcome within a week! I will continue to do the practical and watch God do the providential. Though I could not tell the half of what the enemy meant for my bad in all of the tests and trials of 2014, God has worked it ALL out for my good! I have learned how to lean and depend on Him with a bold and fearless faith! My focus is greater and fixed on the Father! The gaps the devil created are closed by the mighty hand of God! I will continue to humble myself under His mighty hand for it is truly all about Him!
