All persons are eligible to enter
There will be two categories: Home-Cook and Professional Business
Salad must use potato (any type) as main ingredient
Recipe must be original and entrant must own rights to recipe
Must prepare recipe in advance and bring to the event for judging
Contestant must provide enough of their recipe for three judges
Contestant must disclose all ingredients of recipe
Coolers/ice will be permitted; heating elements are not permitted (electric will not be available)
One entry per person. All entries become the property of the event producer and will not be returned
If contestant is under the age of 18, a parent signature is required below
Entrant must be available at the time the contest is to be conducted to present their recipe to the judges
AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: By participating in the contest, entrant agrees to these official rules and the event producer’s
decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to this contest. These official rules form a binding legal agreement between
the eligible entrant and the event producer with respect to the contest. By submitting a recipe, the entrant warrants that his/her recipe is
his/her original recipe and that s/he owns all rights to the recipe.
WINNER SELECTION: Salad must include potato. Entry dish must be delivered to the Long Island Potato Festival by 12:00pm EST on
Sunday, August 10, 2014 in order to be submitted for judging. There will be a panel of judges who will rate recipes from 1-10 in four
categories: PRESENTATION, CREATIVITY, USE OF POTATO, and OVERALL TASTE. The contestant with the highest score after
judge’s deliberation will be the winner. Winner will be named in each catergory.

above on August 10, 2014, and his/her name and likeliness for use in print, online, and video marketing materials; and also release the
Long Island Potato Festival, it’s organizers, producers, and any third parties involved in the creation or publication of marketing
materials, from liability for any claims by me or any third party in connection with my participation or the participation of the child listed
above.
