My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus’ blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. 2. When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace; In ev’ry high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil. 3. His oath, His covenant, His blood, Support me in the whelming flood; When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay. 4. When He shall come with trumpet sound, O may I then in Him be found, Dressed in His righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne. REFRAIN: On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand – all other ground is sinking sand, All others ground is sinking sand. Amen PRAYER TIME “Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God.” Phil. 4:6 (KJV) Choir Response *Reading of the Scripture Minister: THE DECALOGUE And God spoke all these words saying, I am the Lord thy God who brought Thee out of land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shall have no other Gods before me. People:(Sing) Minister: Lord have mercy upon us, and incline our heart to keep this law. Hear what Christ our Savior saith, thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with thy entire mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. People:(Sing) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. ...Amen Songs of Praise Anointed Voice of Praise Choir THE ORDER OF WORSHIP IS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE BY HIS INSTRUCTIONS THE CHURCH IN WORSHIP Devotional Service/ Praise and Worship……………………………….….....Diaconate Ministry/ Praise Team CORPORATE PRAYER PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW Praise God from whom all blessings flow, Praise Him all creatures here below. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, Oh Jerusalem. Psalm 122:1-2 People: For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand, I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. Psalm 84:10 Minister: Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. People: And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: Minister: All: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Deuteronomy 6:4-7 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.… Amen Proverbs 22:6 *AFFIRMATION OF FAITH(THE APOSTLES CREED I believe in God the Father Almighty Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ His only Son, Our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit Born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified dead and buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He arose from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; the Holy Christian Church; the Communion of Saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. .Amen God's Pursuing Love | The Upper Room When the poles of two magnets are aligned and one magnet is moved closer to the other, at a certain point one magnet will suddenly move across the gap to the other magnet. It’s never tiring watching the magnet jump across the gap. The invisible attraction is fascinating. Our relationship with God is something like the attraction between magnets. Sometimes we may feel Bishop M. LaVerne Lattimore Ball far from God, but if we take the tiniest step to return, we will find God there, drawing us close. The invisible force is God's love, which is always nearby, waiting. No matter how far away we feel, the distance is not as great as it seems. In response to our smallest move, God draws near to us. God has pursued us and waits patiently for us to turn toward life. Reading God’s Word in the Sermon Since we forget 90% of what we hear, it has been suggested by our Bishop, that note-taking will double the percentage of our take-home response. Why not try it and see. Scripture Reference: Sermon Topic: I listened today for a message from God’s Word, I heard His truths…I want to remember Other main Points How will the message work in my life? 1. What did God say specifically to me during the Sermon? 2. Is there anything, which God would have me to do? 3. Will I do it? VISION To develop fully mature disciples of Jesus Christ.
