O what a fore-taste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of god, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood. 2. Perfect submission, perfect delight! Visions of rapture now burst on my sight; Angels descending bring from above, echoes of mercy, whispers of love. 3. Perfect submission – all is at rest, I in my Savior am happy and blest; watching and waiting, looking above, filled with His goodness, lost in His love. REFRAIN: This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long. ….Amen PRAYER TIME “Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God.” Phil. 4:6 (KJV) Choir Response *Reading of the Scripture Minister: THE DECALOGUE And God spoke all these words saying, I am the Lord thy God who brought Thee out of land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shall have no other Gods before me. People:(Sing) Prayer & Fasting REMEMBER THESE TRUTHS ABOUT FASTING: 1. Fasting loosens the bands of wickedness – “…Is this not the fast that I have chosen? To loosen the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?” (Isaiah 58:1-14). 2. Fasting builds our faith – “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17:21) 3. Fasting makes it easier to hear the voice of the Lord – “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, “Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.” And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.” (Acts 13:2-3). Minister: Lord have mercy upon us, and incline our heart to keep this law. Hear what Christ our Savior saith, thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with thy entire mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. People:(Sing) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. ...Amen Songs of Praise Anointed Voice of Praise Choir THE ORDER OF WORSHIP IS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE BY HIS INSTRUCTIONS THE CHURCH IN WORSHIP Devotional Service/ Praise and Worship……………………………….….....Diaconate Ministry/ Praise Team CORPORATE PRAYER PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW Praise God from whom all blessings flow, Praise Him all creatures here below. Praise Him above ye heavenly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen…..Amen…..Amen Prayerful Inner Searching | My Uptmost for His Highest “Your whole spirit….” The great, mysterious work of the Holy Spirit is in the deep recesses of our being which we cannot reach. Read Psalm 139. The psalmist implies— “O Lord, You are the God of the early mornings, the God of the late nights, the God of the mountain peaks, and the God of the sea. But, my God, my soul has horizons further away than those of early mornings, Bishop M. LaVerne deeper darkness than the nights of earth, higher peaks than any mountain Lattimore Ball peaks, greater depths than any sea in nature. You who are the God of all these, be my God. I cannot reach to the heights or to the depths; there are motives I cannot discover, dreams I cannot realize. My God, search me.”Do we believe that God can fortify and protect our thought processes far beyond where we can go? “…the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). If this verse means cleansing only on our conscious level, may God have mercy on us. The man who has been dulled by sin will say that he is not even conscious of it. But the cleansing from sin we experience will reach to the heights and depths of our spirit if we will “walk in the light as He is in the light” (1 John 1:7). The same Spirit that fed the life of Jesus Christ will feed the life of our spirit. It is only when we are protected by God with the miraculous sacredness of the Holy Spirit that our spirit, soul, and body can be preserved in pure uprightness until the coming of Jesus-no longer condemned in God’s sight. We should more frequently allow our minds to meditate on these great, massive truths of God. Minister: I was glad when they said unto me; let us go into the house of the Lord. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, Oh Jerusalem. Psalm 122:1-2 People: For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand, I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. Psalm 84:10 Minister: Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Reading God’s Word in the Sermon People: Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Since we forget 90% of what we hear, it has been suggested by our Bishop, that note-taking will double the percentage of our take-home response. Why not try it and see. Minister: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; People: Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Minister: Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. People: The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. Minister: He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. All: The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy… Amen Psalm 103 1 – 8 *AFFIRMATION OF FAITH(THE APOSTLES CREED I believe in God the Father Almighty Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ His only Son, Our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit Born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified dead and buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He arose from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; the Holy Christian Church; the Communion of Saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. .Amen Scripture Reference: Sermon Topic: I listened today for a message from God’s Word, I heard His truths…I want to remember Other main Points How will the message work in my life? 1. What did God say specifically to me during the Sermon? 2. Is there anything, which God would have me to do? 3. Will I do it? VISION To develop fully mature disciples of Jesus Christ.
