This program is basic and meets the needs of professionals at every experience level. Presenter: Ram Surendhranath, Associate AIA; LEED AP BD+C; Member HRGBC; currently works as architect at Clark Nexsen. He worked on several LEED certified projects at Clark Nexsen and volunteers with the United Nations in designing Net-Zero housing. He serves on the Communications Committee for HRGBC and AIA Hampton Roads. He graduated with an undergraduate degree in architecture from Madras University, India; a Master’s degree in architecture from SUNY at Buffalo and a Master’s degree in architecture and urban design from Columbia University in the city of New York. His interests are in sea level rise adaptation strategies for Hampton Roads. LEED v4 is a sophisticated way of looking at interconnectivity that exists throughout building systems and the phases of building design and construction. Gain broad insight on all prerequisites and establish a foundation for adopting LEED v4 into your green building practice. Explore common themes in this new rating system such as synergies within the rating system, integrative process, and the role of performance. This presentation takes an in-depth look at the system goals and how these concepts are visible in all parts of the LEED v4 rating system, preparing you to adopt LEED v4 into your green building practice. Whether you’re an architect, owner, builder, consultant, advocate or someone who likes to see this world as a healthy place to live, work and play, we hope you will join us as we move forward with a new benchmark for sustainability.
