Adventures in
Lifelong Learning
Adventures in Lifelong Learning presents Dr. Cory Renbarger speaking, maybe even
singing a bit on “The Stage
and the Podium-Becoming
both a Performer and a Professor” Tuesday, March 31
from 10-11:30 am at Beltrami
Electric community room.
Dr. Renbarger will discuss the
backgrounds and process of
going through the necessary
education and experience to
do, to be both a performer
and a professor. He will
use examples
from his own
career and how it has shaped
and guided him from
full-time
student, to professional opera
singer, to professor. He
will
also discuss the many routes
one can take and what’s
required
of each profession,
portraying the similarities and
differences between them.
Dr. Cory J. Renbarger joined
the faculty at BSU in 2012. He
holds degrees from The University of Minnesota, The Cincinnati College-Conservatory
of Music, and Concordia College. Beginning his training
in Moorhead, MN, he studied
with David Hamilton and was
a frequent soloist with The
Concordia Choir, under René
Clausen. He went on to receive both a Master’s Degree
in Voice and an Artist Diploma
in Opera at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of
Music. For further credentials

Remember in Prayer
We pray for the repose of the
soul of Neil Larson, son of
Fran and Jan Larson, who
passed away recently. May
he be at peace in the arms
of Jesus and for his family
during this difficult time.
