They learn to implement the class learning in practical situations. They learn to work in a team and deal with realistic situations in an efficient and effective manner. Moreover students gain the knowledge which help them strengthen their concepts and widen their skill set, enabling them to grow as a professional. The students can also develop a sense of responsibility towards the society. Duration : The industrial internship extends over a period of 4 - 6 months in seventh semester for Undergraduates and in third semester for Post Graduates. Timeline : In the beginning the students get acquainted to the company's work culture. Thereon students are given projects according to their skill set and work specialization. When students work on the project, their results are evaluated by the corporate and projects are graded according to the performance. ASSOCIATION WITH CORPORATE : Each student is allocated a corporate guide under whose guidance he/she carries the actual work during the period of internship. The company sends monthly progress reports of students. At the end the companies are to provide the students with completion certificate as a mark of successful assignment. Students submit draft project to the company before leaving the company. NIFTEM ensures confidentiality related to the project report. A corporate can give Pre Placement Offer (PPO) to deserving students who are undergoing the Industrial Internship with the Organization. A formal letter from the corporate, giving job description, salary etc. may be sent to the Corporate Resource Division (CRD) at NIFTEM. STUDENT EVALUATION : A student works under a Corporate Guide who evaluates the performance of the student during his internship and sends the feedback to the institute every month in the evaluation sheet provided by the Corporate Resource Division (CRD). The student submits his/her project to the institute's Academic Office. The student is evaluated by panel of faculty members including faculty guide based on the feedback received from the corporate guide, project report submitted and a presentation. 1 Knowledge Innovation Outreach B.
