Astro COTTAGES & CAMPERS (generally limited to church members) WEEK-LONG CABIN RETREAT — LONG LAKE Enjoy the use of a one-bedroom, one-bath cabin overlooking beautiful Long Lake, donated by the Berges. The cabin is located in Bayfield County 25 miles west of Ashland. This small cabin offering is for adults only, as it has a series of steps leading down to a natural waterfront. There is a deck overlooking the lake, a dock with a place to sit and watch wildlife, and the use of Berge’s canoe is also included. WEEKEND STAY AT CONDOMINIUM — LAKE MILDRED Spend the weekend of September 11, 12, and 13 at this 3-bedroom condo (sleeps 6) located on Lake Mildred about 10 miles north of Rhinelander off of Highway 47 (it’s an easy 1.25-hour drive from most Wausau locations). It is located on a beautiful 200-acre lake with access to a beach and 500 feet of shared lake frontage. You can bring your own boat and keep it at their landing, and there is access to a canoe and kayaks. The lake is great for swimming and boating, plus the beach area has wonderful sunsets and is great place to relax. Rhinelander is very close if you need something, and there are many very nice restaurants near the cottage in the Rhinelander or Minocqua area. There is also great biking right outside the door, and the Bearskin Trail is about 10 miles away.
