Registration for the 2015 California State 4-H Leaders’ Forum at the Conference Center at the Crowne
Plaza in San Diego, CA - November 6 – 8, 2015
Start making your plans NOW! Talk with the 4-H leaders, staff and parents in your club and county, form a group and all
come to experience “Keepin’ It Fresh!” at the 2015 California State 4-H Leaders’ Forum. The South Section Forum
Committee has been working hard to create a forum that will be a fun, stimulating and educational event. Come enjoy a
weekend at the beautiful Crowne Plaza in San Deigo, CA in San Diego County.
The 2015 California State 4-H Leaders’ Forum will have something for everyone; new leaders, experienced leaders,
befuddled leaders, staff and parents. Come share your 4-H community service, outreach, fundraising, new projects, and
any other ideas/activities with the 4-H leaders, staff and parents throughout the state of California and at the same time
learn FRESH ideas to take back with you to your Club and/or County.
With the new venue being in San Diego for the first time this year, the Forum Committee decided to switch everything up!
We got to be “Keepin’ It Fresh!”. For starters, Sea World is offering a one time behind the scenes tour for our Forum
participants on Thursday, November 5, 2015! So when you are making your plans to attend, you will need to book your
hotel room a day earlier. Friday Night Registration is also a “Make It, Take It,Trade It” night! Check out the registration
form and decide on which ones you would be interested in attending. We need to know in advance so we can be ready
for you. Be prepared to share and learn about various ways to work through various issues surrounding 4-H and of
course, be ready to focus on sharing ideas about the various ways that the 4-H Youth Development Program educates its
members with new fresh ideas. There will be opportunities to listen to speakers, attend a wide selection of workshops,
and even enjoy a night on your own in Old Town San Diego! There will be activities to fit the needs and interest of every
4-H leader, staff or parent, including friendly competition at the Silent Auction.
There is plenty of time to plan on presenting a “Keepin’ It Fresh” workshop that will be interesting and helpful to 4-H
leaders, parents, and staff, especially if it fits our target topic, but certainly not limited to the target topic. See the
application form included in this information packet for full details.
Please note there may be a few Craft Workshops that will have a fee for materials. Presenters will collect these fees at the
time of the workshops. These workshops will be limited to 15 to 25 participants and will be on a first come, first serve
basis. More information will be published on all of the workshops about 6 to 8 weeks before the forum. Information will be
included at that time on the limit and cost of each workshop and a schedule of all other workshops.
Enclosed are the following:

Forum registration with options and meal ticket(s) request due to Forum registrar.

Workshop Information Letter, Workshop Application, and Presenter’s Responsibilities

Silent auction information, and Donation Form and Receipt
We look forward to seeing all of you at SLF 2015! Make copies of this packet to share. If you simply must miss this
great event, give this packet to a friend, fellow leader, staff or parent.
