This presentation will help chemical dependency professionals (CDPs) identify risk factors, review statistics, and give some direction on what to do if they encounter someone under grave emotional distress and at risk for suicide. This training is required by RCW 43.70.442 and is worth three NAADAC CEUs. Who Benefits: CDPs certified and licensed under Title RCW 18.205. The new law requires three credits training every six years of training in suicide assessment and treatment. Michael F. Murray Jr., MSW, LSWAIC, CDP Michael Murray is a King County Region 4 representative for Chemical Dependency Professional of Washington State (CDPWS) for The Association of Addiction Professionals (NAADAC). He has worked in the addiction field for ten years. He owns and operates Bridgeway Treatment Services, LLC in Bellevue, WA, and serves as its administrator, clinical supervisor, and therapist. In addition, he works as an assessor for the Department of Social and Health Services Child Protective Services. Michael Murray specializes in non-traditional addiction therapy, utilizing holistic approaches, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
