Comfort Quilts
Comfort Quilts had a fabulous March and we have so many people to thank. First we want to thank
the Executive and the Workshop Committee for their support of the March 6th UFO – Tote Bag Day.
Everyone who participated had a great time. Also a big thank-you goes to Mark Ryan for quilting all
the fabric that we worked with, Lynda for preparing the kits and her outstanding instructions that
resulted in 22 tote bags made that will go to Interval House.
Thank you goes to Irene, Jackie, Dianne, Donna, Janice, Bette, Marjorie, Janice, Anne, Karen and
Jackie for quilts, quilt tops, pillow cases and fabric. For the quilts that we have on hand, 5 will be going to the Child Abuse Branch of Hamilton Police Services and 3 for Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Thanks
Mark for taking more quilts to long-arm for us.
Joan, Shirley, Donna, Nicole, Myrna and Linda took kits to make beautiful quilts, thank you ladies.
Ladies, last month I informed you of our pillow case bonanza, this month I’d like to let you know that
over the past 4 years Ancaster Quilters’ Guild has made and donated 291 quilts. That number is outstanding. Thank you all so much.
Have a wonderful Easter, and don’t eat too many chocolate bunnies.
Mary, Teresa, Colleen and Lynda,
Placemats
Placemats are a great way to practise new
quilting techniques or using up your orphan
blocks. We know that the placemats are
