AFCEA MARIANAS HOSTS TECHNET 2012
Technology Conference and Expo, April 24-27, Hyatt Regency Guam
Tamuning, Guam , April 18 – The Armed Forces Communication and Electronics Association
(AFCEA) Marianas Chapter hosts Marianas TechNet 2012, April 24 through April 27 at the Hyatt
Regency Guam Hotel. This year’s conference theme, “New Focus on the Western Pacific:
Convergence of Strategy and Technology for the 21st Century,” is the premise for keynote
speaker presentations and dynamic expert panel discussions.
Vince Augelli, AFCEA Marianas Chapter President, explains the purpose of TechNet: “Our goal
is to address relevant topics of interest to our community and to bring together leaders in our
field to help improve our understanding of future opportunities. Augelli continues: “The
conference theme is well-timed with regard to the recent changes in strategy and focus within
the military and throughout the federal government.”
Over 250 participants are expected to attend the fourth annual TechNet Conference and events.
More than 30 exhibitors from local and global companies will demonstrate the very latest in
communication and technology tools available at the two-day Technology Expo.
In addition to the discussion forums and exhibits, attendees have the opportunity to network at
special social events such as the Opening Night Reception on April 25 and the TechNet Island
Fiesta
to be held this year at Two Lover’s Point on April 26 where the committee will announce
the recipients of the S.T.E.M. Grant awards. Both of these events are open to the public.
Tickets are available for sale through committee members and at event registration.

available for viewing and registration at www.marianas-technet.org. Conference fee is $35.
Pre-registration can also be done onsite at the Hyatt Regency Guam on the 24th afternoon or
25th morning.
