Knowing your power usage Unsure of hand placement?:

The Guam Power Authority says there are two ways to read your electric meter, depending on
the kind of meter you have:
STANDARD
POWER METER
DIGITAL POWER METER
Write down the last
number the dial has
passed.
Note that every other
hand rotates the
opposite direction.
4
6
3
7
2
If you have a digital meter,
just write down the
numbers as they appear
on the viewer.
Unsure of hand placement?:
Knowing your power usage
If a hand is right on a number, and you’re not
sure if it has passed the number or not, look at
the dial to the right. Has the hand passed 0?
Take the new reading based on what
you see on the meter:
46,372 (new reading)
- 45,109 (your last reading)
of kilowatt
= 1,263 (amount
hours you used)
Question:
Should you
