2015 UA Alumni Association Scholarship Application Dear Future Arizona Wildcat, On behalf of the University of Arizona Alumni Association, I would like to thank you for your interest in attending the University of Arizona. The Alumni Association is comprised of “Wildcats For Life,” who take great pride in being alumni of the University of Arizona. The SinCityCats award scholarships to several incoming freshmen, each year. This year, we will be offering four (4) scholarships totaling $2,000 (3 for $400 and 1 for $800). The Dan Lee Memorial Scholarships are based on the following criteria: academic excellence, leadership, and service to the community. Contingent on your acceptance to and decision to attend The University of Arizona, you are eligible to apply for this award. Please return this application, and include the following information: 1. A resume highlighting your scholastic achievements, extracurricular activities, honors, work experience, community service, and any other information that you would like to include for our consideration. 2. A one page essay explaining why you would like to attend the University of Arizona. The essay should be about you, your intended field of study, your interests, concerns, expectations, and goals. You need not restrict yourself to educational interests and are encouraged to write about things that are important to you. The essay should be no more than one page and single spaced. Essays more than one page will not be accepted. 3. Unofficial transcripts Your completed application must arrive by Tuesday, March 31, 2015. No late or incomplete applications will be considered. Scholarship award winners will be notified by email and/or telephone, no later than May 1, 2015. Scholarship winners must be available for an informal awards luncheon on Saturday, June 13, 2015.
