Condolences
Our sympathies to Erika & John Klassen and Mary & George
Baier as they mourn the loss of loved ones. Erika’s sister
Susie Regehr’s memorial service was March 13th at King
Road MB Church. Mary’s sister Kay McConnel’s service was
here at Bakerview on March 16. May God grant them peace at
this time.
Church Directories will be available for pickup from the
Welcome Desks beginning next Sunday, March 29th. One per
family please.

7:00 pm and Good Friday, April 3rd at 10:00 am at Bakerview

A special prayer time has been organized for every
evening at 8 pm March 17-29 in the Great Room except on
March 22, 27 and 29 when it will be in Room 300. Everyone
is invited to come to pray for Bakerview’s current needs.

Council is calling for a meeting with the Liturgical congregation during the lunch on Sunday, March 29.

Bakerview’s
50th Anniversary Celebrations
April 10 - 12, 2015
A memoir of Bakerview’s 50 years,
“A Mosaic of Grace” is being produced for the
celebration weekend. The cost is $20 and will be
available at all anniversary events
as well as at the church office.
Please note the following events:
Open House - Friday, April 10, 6:30-9:00 pm in the
Multipurpose Centre. Enjoy an evening of displays,
interviews, visiting and refreshments.
Celebration Banquet - Saturday, April 11 at Columbia
Place, CBC. Punch will be served at 5:30 pm, and dinner
at 6:00 pm. (Tickets required).
Celebration Worship Service - Sunday, April 12 at
10:30 am at Columbia Place, CBC.
Reserve these times and join in the celebration!
Tickets for the banquet are available in the office during the
week and in the foyer on Sundays. Last opportunity to get a
ticket will be Tuesday, March 31.

Engaging the Bible, 2015
Check out the recent edition of the MB Herald for creative
and challenging ways to read and study the Bible.
At the end of March, Bakerview will post a podcast on our
website to answer your ‘burning questions about the Bible.’

Bakerview Church Family Camp
June 5-7 at Stillwood Camp and Conference
Centre. Registration forms will be available
March 29th. Early bird registration deadline is
May 3 (Sign Up Sunday).

Music on a Wednesday
Our next concert is April 15 featuring
Ben Goheen, cello, Alana Lopez, violin and
Betty Suderman, piano. Light refreshments
are served at 11:30 am ($3.00) and the
concert begins at 12:15 pm.
Behold: Seeing God’s Glory in Revelation is presented by
Suzanne Benner, Friday, March 27th, 7:00 pm at Arnold
Community Church, 310 Arnold Road.
Songs Strings & Steps presents “The Story of Easter”
Saturday, March 28th at 2:00 and 7:00 pm at Gateway
Community Church. Tickets are available at House of James
and King’s Music. Parking is limited - carpooling strongly

Heart & Soul of the city, Neighbourhood mapping takes
place Tuesday, April 7 from 1:30-4:30 pm at Cariboo Road
Christian Fellowship in Burnaby. Discover how neighbourhood
mapping can reveal unmet needs and untapped resources of
your immediate neighbourhood. Urban ministry expert Dr. John
Fuder from Moody Theological Seminary in Chicago will
discuss six essential steps to mapping and show how to
implement practical ministry initiatives that will transform both
your community and your church.
Abbotsford Hospice Society offers Children’s Grief Group
for children aged 7-11 who have experienced the death of a
friend or a family member. The sessions are Thursdays,
beginning April 16th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Abbotsford
Hospice Society. To register call Yoko at 604-852-2456.
The Canadian MK Network is an organization designed to
help missionary kids integrate back into the Canadian culture.
They are holding a benefit concert/silent auction on April 24 at
Immanuel Fellowship Baptist Church on Blue Jay Street in
Abbotsford. Carol Peters and Gary Van Ry and the Fraser
Valley Quartet will perform. A one day conference will be held
on Saturday, April 25 at Cariboo Road Christian Fellowship in

BCMB CONVENTION 2015 Innovate for the Gospel
is May 1-2 at South Langley MB Church. Delegates are
needed. Please contact the office if you would like to
attend as a delegate and we will register you.
C2C Spring Celebration Banquet is April 20, 2015 at
Northview Church, beginning at 6:00 pm. RSVP to

Lyric Singers, under the direction of Nancy Rahn, is

Mother’s Day Concert featuring Roy & Rosemary with full
orchestra, Pacific Mennonite Children’s Choir and special

LOGOS Canada invites individuals and couples to a work/

Historymaker Conference REAL is May 15-17 at First
Ave Church in Chilliwack. Historymaker is a weekend to
give teens and leaders an opportunity to have a lifealtering encounter with the living God so that they can be
encouraged, equipped, and empowered to reach the 1.2
million people considered the next
generation in BC and the Yukon.
