THIS FORM MUST BE RETURNED TO THE STUDIO NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, MAY 29, 2015
Technique-Only Private Lessons: Available to any student registered for at least a one-hour-per-week class during the summer
session. These lessons will meet one hour per week for the five weeks. These privates will completely concentrate on improving
the student’s dance technique in a focused, one-on-one environment. They will not be learning a routine.
Recreational Private: A limited number of openings will be available to students registered for at least a one-hour-per-week class
during the summer session and during the fall/spring 2015-2016 session. These lessons will meet for ½ - hour per week during the
five weeks of the summer session and will have 13, ½ - hour sessions (6 ½ total hours) during the fall/spring session. While these
lessons are primarily intended to improve a student/s technique in a focused environment, the student does have the option to
learn a routine.
Competition Private Lessons: Available to all competition students. (If you are interested in learning more about joining a
competition group, please contact the studio.) These lessons are intended for the dance student who desires to compete at a
higher level. During the summer session, you may choose either a ½ -hour per week or a one-hour-per-week lesson for the five
week session. However, during the fall/spring sessions and in order to help compete at a higher level, these privates will be
scheduled for 26 half-hour sessions (13 total hours) during which the student will focus on only one routine. Students are limited
to register for a maximum of two (2) competitive private lessons but must choose only one solo to perform in the 2016 recitals.
Fall/Spring instructor assignment can change from the summer session. You may request a particular instructor; however they
will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Competition Semi-Private (Duo/Trio) and Small Group Lessons: Available to all competition students. These will be formed by
the staff of BCFD and will be scheduled the same as listed above under competition private lessons. On your registration form,
please write the type of routine (tap, jazz, lyrical) in which you are interested and you will be connected with an appropriate partner
or group.
Space is limited for private, semi-private and small group lessons. Lessons will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Make day/time and teacher requests on your registration form and we will try to accommodate. If you are assigned a private,
semi-private, or small group lesson, you will be notified with a schedule of your summer lesson dates and times. For
competitive privates and groups, do not register unless you are willing to commit to these lessons throughout the
2015-2016 fall/spring session. Please note that when signing up for multiple competitive privates, duos/trios and small groups,
performances at the Spring Recital may not all be in the same show.
If you are interested in having your solo, duo/trio or small group created by one of our visiting choreographers, you are
not required to sign up for a summer session time slot, but still return the form below listing your request(s).
