Cobb’s Hill Community Series Potluck Dinner, Film & Discussion TRICKED Friday, May 29, 2015 Movie at 7:00 p.m. Potluck Dinner at 6:00 p.m. (optional) - Please bring a dish to share that is organic or locally-sourced if possible. Unitarian Church of Barnstable, 3330 Main St., Barnstable, MA TRICKED is a character-driven documentary about the world of sex trafficking in the United States, where it is a $3 billion per year industry. This film introduces us to the pimps, johns, police, parents, and victims in the world of sexual exploitation. It takes a raw look at the reality of this industry and should be rated R for its language. Peter DiMarzio, a Victim Assistance Specialist with the Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and Kumara Sidhartha, a local physician and the current Chair of the Cape Cod Anti-Trafficking Task Force, will be facilitating a post-film discussion. There is no charge for this event but we would appreciate your donation of items for the “Care Bags” we are assembling for distribution to trafficking survivors, who often have nothing but the clothes they are wearing when rescued. A list of recommended items is available at www.barnstableuu.org. Please RSVP to Jo Ann at jojolk@dslextreme.com by Wednesday, May 27. This event is sponsored by the UCB Social Justice Committee and the Cape Cod Anti-Trafficking Task Force.
