WICKED IDEAS FOR PROMOTING YOUR BUSINESS
Here’s some ideas that you may want to use to help promote your business during the run of
the show – and do let us know if you’re doing anything special so we can help promote your
activities.
RESTAURANTS/BARS







Green is the colour – so why not create special Wicked cocktails or some really
“wicked” offers for people to dine/drink pre-and post show.
Use some green bulbs to give the lighting a real feel for the show.
Could you use some dry ice to create a bubbling drink?
Rename some popular dishes to reflect the show on your menu – could you
call your soup a witches brew or even a witches stew – this has no cost and
only requires a little imagination!
Could you serve food from a cauldron or something similar?
As the show coincides with the Easter holidays and lots of youngsters will be
going to see it, why not put a family offer together for lunch or dinner.
If you are an Italian restaurant could you turn your pizza dough green and
allow youngsters to make their own, creating a competition for the best witch
pizza face?

Be a good witch – with special offers for people coming to see the show.

If the budget allows, why not look to employ a magician who can do
some tricks to get people in the mood before the show starts.

Look at booking a face painter who can turn youngsters (and even
adults!) into Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West or Glinda the Good.

The international production of Wicked partners with a range of charities,
including anti bullying organisations and the Rainbow Trust. It may be that
you could carry out a collection, run a raffle or something similar for one of
their charities during the run of the show.

It then may be possible to ask the theatre if one of the cast could come
down and collect the donation, which would create a picture opportunity
for the press to promote your business.

If you sell sweets, could you put together a witches bag of goodies?
Chewy snakes and insects etc would be the perfect package for
youngsters going to see the show.

Window displays – could you create a “wicked” window display using
witches hats or even create a pair of ruby slippers made with a cheap pair
of shoes and some sequins.
