W e, John Good and Lewis Good, started Blue Chip Financial with a passion to provide customers with an understanding of investment options and to give them direction and confidence in pursuing their financial goals. We endeavor to provide excellent advice, solutions, and service in a way that sets us apart from the competition. Rather than merely imitating competitors, we strive to set a new standard of service. You may be familiar with the names of other financial firms in our line of work including Banks, National Brokers and Local Planners. When we began Blue Chip Financial, we intentionally did not model our company after these cookie cutter models. Too often, firms fall short in serving their customers well due to limited investment choices, conflicts of interest, poor planning advice, the selling of expensive products rather than solutions, or overbearing parent companies pressuring sales. Of course, it would be untrue to say all of these companies are ill-inten- VOLUME 2 • ISSUE 2 Thank you to those who stopped by for our Coffee and Conversation over the past few weeks. Blue Chip Financial where we manage for Growth and Protection Growth When you invest money in the market, the primary goal is to see it grow over time. Our goal, at Blue Chip Financial, is the same. We manage that growth by developing a portfolio using positions in the S&P 500, the 500 best U.S. companies. We divide the S&P 500 into sectors and manage them individually. A sample of sectors include: consumer discretionary, consumer staples, energy, financial, heath care, industrials, materials, technology, and utilities. International positions in developed markets may also be used to capture gains outside of the U.S. markets. Fixed income investments (bonds) and cash positions are added to balance the equity investments (stocks). Protection The saying goes, “Down hurts more than up helps.” Therefore, if your investment in the market is down 50%, it takes a 100% increase just to recover to where you were. Blue Chip Financial works to protect the value of your portfolio from such declines in the market. We examine each position daily and react quickly to market conditions. Not all sectors move in the same direction simultaneously; if one of the sectors moves outside of its normal range of fluctuation, we sell and wait for a change of direction before buying again. If the whole market experiences a significant downturn, unlike most managers, we can and will move to cash. Cost Blue Chip Financial carefully evaluates cost in determining a course of action. However, it is by no means the deciding factor. We control the cost to you through in-house management, thereby eliminating the middleman. There are no trading fees to buy or sell positions in our managed portfolios, which cuts costs and saves you more. We are fee based; our compensation increases as your assets increase. You do not pay up front or in advance, as many other firms require, and we are not driven by the need to buy or sell products for monetary incentives. In short, we both want the same thing: to see your account grow and avoid depreciation. Under this model, we are directly linked to your investments in a way that necessitates that we are actively engaged, remain in contact, and maintain your best interests. We welcome your questions and it would be our pleasure to meet with you. CONTACT US: Blue Chip Financial, LLC 388 Staver Rd.
