President’s Pen
Spring is here! The OSC
has stayed busy with
social events, charitable
work, and generous
donations from our
Lejeune family at Basket
Bingo. I am so proud to
represent such a
wonderful organization.
This month the OSC put
on our biggest fundraiser
of the year, Basket Bingo.
The night was loaded with
excitement. This year we
raised $16,000; that will all
go to our Philanthropy
Fund to benefit our Charitable
Distributions and
Scholarships. Our fundraising
team put on a fabulous
Basket Bingo and we are so
very thankful for the generous
donations from the units and
community. Also, the OSC
reached out to the Onslow
Women Shelter. The
community outreach team and
a group of very dedicated
volunteered completely
renovated one of the shelter
rooms. It is amazing how
beautiful the room turned out
and the good it will
provide for the shelter.
We have many positions
for our board next year
available. Please
consider volunteering for
the 2015-2016 board.
Our Election is this
month and we already
have some wonderful
ladies on the ballot.
Don’t forget to vote!
Sincerely,
Sherry Cato

Charitable Distributions News
Happy April, everyone!
Charitable Distributions Committee is
very busy this month! Our deadline for
applications has passed and now we are
focused on boarding all of them. We
are excited to read about how these
organizations have positively affected
our service members and their families
over the last year! It will be our
pleasure to support those who support
our Marines, sailors, and their families!
Good luck to them all!
In the meantime, please come join us at
the Spring Craft Fair on April 25, 9-5 &
26 12-4 at Marston Pavilion! Not only
will there be some really neat crafts but
also an exquisite array of goodies at the
OSC Bake Sale! All proceeds from the
sale go to our Philanthropic fund which
we hand back out as grants and
scholarships! If you are interested in
donating baked goods or working a
shift, please email
CharitableDistroCLOSC@gmail.com.
Have a wonderful Easter!

donated their time and amazing baskets to

We cannot wait to see you April 23 !
We will be taking group pictures of all your
respective clubs during the social portion of
the luncheon: 10:30 to 11:20. We will
begin with the local clubs and end with
Cherry Point OSC. We will be sending
each club their respective pictures later in
the month. We hope to have a beautiful
spring day so that we can take these
pictures outside with the New River in the
background. What a wonderful keepsake
this will be!

LADLE LEAF AND LOAF:
Hello LLLers. What a great gathering we had
at Summer's house. She is always such an
awesome hostess. Look for an evite to come
out soon for our April lunch. I hope we have
another full house. Please remember to go
to www.dropbox.com and enter your recipes
there. You should have received an evite
right after our last lunch with instructions on
how to access the LLL Dropbox account. Our
time is coming to an end for this year, as we
only have the April and May lunches left.
Please be sure to keep up with your rsvp,
especially if you need to back out, as that
opens it up to others who were not able to get

Our Mission Statement
Camp Lejeune Officer’s Spouses’ Club is a private, non-profit fellowship
and volunteer organization for officer spouses at MCB Lejeune and
surrounding areas. It was created to foster a comfortable atmosphere of
camaraderie, support and community involvement among spouses of
active and retired personnel. We carry out our mission statement in three
ways
Socially: supporting members through networking and friendship at
events like luncheons and sub clubs.
Charitably: using the time, talents and energy of members to enhance
the greater Camp Lejeune area.
Socially: supporting members through networking and friendship at events
like luncheons and sub clubs.
Generously: raising funds to go into the Charitable Distributions Fund,
which supports local organizations with monetary donations and the larger
OSC Scholarship Fund, which awards students and spouses with college
scholarships based on both merit and academic excellence.
