Current Status of Project
 There is no architectural scheme
 20th August 2014 Club’s Executive Committee resolved unanimously
to prepare a Master Plan for the site
 Community is being asked to participate in a process to realise the
development vision
 The Club is undertaking stakeholder and community consultation to
ascertain community attitudes to the Project
 The findings of the consultation will inform the preparation of a
“Planning Proposal”

Campsie RSL has a significant land
(approx. 8,000m2) within 400m of
Campsie Station
Campsie RSL
Precinct
Campsie RSL sees this as an opportunity
to create a vibrant “mix-use” precinct
Campsie RSL (via Planning Proposal) is seeking community
and Council’s support to:
 rezone its property to B4 – mixed use;
 increase applicable FSR; and
 increase height limit.

Campsie RSL appointed GMU Design to review and advise on
the appropriate bulk and scale.
GMU Design considered:

proximity to Campsie Station;
impact on ANZAC Park and future of ANZAC Mall;
topography of the area;
existing distribution of building heights and set-backs;
transition of heights to existing lower scale;
preservation of Beamish Street; and
activation of the public domain.
